章 37: Chapter 37: Confrontation

For the rest of the week, Florence did everything she could to act as normal as possible. She and Scott had gotten used to their little routine, and both of them seemed very satisfied and pleased with it.

However, Florence started to notice that Scott was acting a bit weird with her for the past few days. She didn’t know what had happened since they didn’t fight or anything of that sort, but she could feel when he was distancing himself from her or being a bit colder. And that was definitely the case.

She didn’t feel like asking him for a while; maybe it was something from work that was upsetting him, especially since he seemed a lot busier lately. She asked him eventually if everything was ok with the company but only received a nod in return during dinner.

After that, she decided to give it a few days. It’d probably pass. Everyone had hard days, and Scott wasn’t any different. She just didn’t want to think it had anything to do with her. She feared he was getting tired of her.
