Florence choked on her words. Her tears were now falling down her face like a cascade; all her feelings and emotions escaping her without any control.

He had found out.

“How—” she murmured.

“I found the test in the trash.”

Florence was shocked, not sure of what to think. Scott’s expression was more than clear to her now. She had hurt him. Now more than any other time before.

And he wasn’t wrong to feel that way. She had hidden major news from him. One that would change his entire life moving forward. No matter how many problems they had as a couple, she should’ve told him as soon as she found out herself. It wasn’t fair to keep it a secret from him. She knew that.

She wasn’t ignoring his right. She just wanted to make sure how to tell him first. But Scott finding out before she had the time to decide her next move wasn’t something she was expecting.

“Did you poke around the trash?” she asked in disbelief.
