章 13: Hope Mikaelson. A True Mikaelson.
"I wanted to talk to you two!" Esther told them. "Leave them….Elijah and Nik, And I won't come for you, and your daughters."
"No…"
"And…..!" Esther shouted to interrupt. "I am going to give you three days to think about it!" She stared at them, "Come on, Finn!"
They moved towards the door.
"What the hell are we going to do?" Hayley sat down on the chair.
"I'll tell you what's going to happen!" Klaus sat down. "Caroline is going back to Mystic Falls, now, Elizabeth, Josette, and Hope are going with her!" His hands tapping together. "And…..Hayley, you go with her!"
"What?" Hayley snapped, "You want me to back off from the fight?"
"No…." Elijah told her, "We just need Hope safe….and you going away is the key to that."
"He's right…" Caroline stood up, "I pretended to break up with Tyler." She reminded Hayley. "It worked, we fooled him!"
She pointed at Klaus,
"Hey!" Klaus looked offended,
"What?" Hayley shook her head, "You were super crazy a few years ago!"
"You are still." Caroline nodded.
"People!" Elijah interrupted, "This is serious!"
"Right, right….He's right!" Caroline stood up, "Why don't you get the girls, Hayley…...and I'll pack."
"But you didn't bring anything?" Klaus told her.
"I am talking about Hope and Hayley." Caroline told her, "Hayley should be the one who goes to the wolves."
Hayley nodded, and disappeared through the door. Caroline had packed everything in twenty minutes, and Klaus was putting everything in the trunk.
"Goodbye…" Caroline told him, he was holding her by the waist.
"I'll come over when this is finished."
"I would say, stay out of trouble." Caroline shrugged her shoulders, "But…."
"I love you…"
The girls appeared out of the house, Hayley right behind them. Klaus opened the car doors. Lizzie and Josie got inside.
"Goodbye, Daddy!" Hope hugged Klaus.
"Goodbye, Princess!" He picked her up.
"When will you come to Mystic Falls?" She asked.
"As soon as I can." Klaus smiled.
"Pinky promise?"
Klaus looked from Hayley to Caroline, shaking his head exasperatedly.
Hayley came back behind Klaus, pinched him from the back and hissed. He jumped.
"She's ten," She told her, "Just do it!"
Hope locked her pinky finger with Klaus's, and Klaus repeated after her.
"Pinky promise."
Klaus Mikaelson stood there waving, because Hope was looking back at him waving. She didn't stop looking till the car disappeared, and Klaus went inside.
"Come on, Neeklaus!" Elijah Mikaelson told him, "We have work to do."
"I know…"
Klaus sat down in the arm chair.
Caroline opened the door to her house,
"Okay, Lizzie and Josie, in the room upstairs for tonight!" She told them. "And then, you'll have to go to your dad's house till Hayley is ready to go back home."
"But they can come for sleepovers, can't they?" Hope asked her.
"Why not?" Caroline told her, "You can even go to Alaric's if your mom allows."
Hayley settled in Mystic Falls. She started helping in the Salvatore School. Elijah promised the problem would be solved in a few days. Hayley missed her pack.
It had been many days, and Hayley was getting extremely irritable. She wanted to go back, but she stayed for Hope. She wouldn't have done that for Elijah, but for her daughter, she would do anything.
Caroline knocked on the door,
"Hayley?"
"Hmm?"
"Can I come in?" She asked.
"You're really formal like Elijah!" Hayley shook her head, "Yes, Come in."
"It's taking so long to fix this." Caroline sat down with her, "I have an idea to fix this!"
"Really?" She asked.
Caroline whispered to Hayley, the whole idea. Hayley's face broke into a grin.
"I like it, Forbes!" She smiled. "Let's do it!"
"Come on, Hayley." Caroline tapped the bed, "We have work to do!"
Hayley got the car ready, while Caroline brought Lizzie and Josie from Alaric's house.
"Where are we going?" Hope asked.
"New Orleans!" Hayley told her in a matter of factly voice.
"Yes!" Hope jumped in the car, hit her head on the roof of the car, and sat back down, rubbing her head.
"I thought you loved it here!" Hayley said, "You wanted to come here every other weekend."
"I did, but Caroline's busy, and I came here with dad." She explained, "I haven't seen him in so many days."
"I know, sweetheart." Hayley smiled.
They were driving out fast, Caroline had to tap Hayley's shoulder every now and then to show her the speed. She was driving too fast.
"Caroline!" Hayley turned exasperatedly. "It doesn't matter if I am speeding."
"It is if you are going 160 miles per hour."
She glanced at the speedometer.
"Oh, sorry!" She told her.
They arrived in New Orleans at dawn. They stopped in front of the French Quarter.
"Come on, Girls!" Caroline opened the back door, and woke everyone up. "Let's go!"
All three girls were sleeping on each other, they drowsily came out of the car.
Caroline and Hayley dragged them into the cemetery.
"Esther Mikaelson." Caroline entered the graveyard. "I am here to make a deal with you."
"Caroline Forbes!" Caroline looked at the blonde, tall woman. Her face was weary and a little angry.
"I have been waiting for you."
Caroline was taking Hope, Lizzie and Josie with her. Hayley was nowhere to be found.
"You are a smart woman!" She told her, "What do you propose?" She asked.
"You let us go, and give me protection." Caroline told her, "And I will run from Klaus, and I will take his daughter with me!"
"And this is a great deal!" She told Caroline.
"Caroline…!" Hope pulled on her sleeve. "What are you doing?"
"Just hold on, honey." Caroline told her. "I'll tell you everything on the plane."
Caroline's eyes pierced into Hope's. She nodded once.Hope was in on the plan. They needed Hope for the plan. Hope was quiet.
"That calls for a drink!" Esther Mikaelson smiled, she took out two glasses , and Caroline bit her arm, and Hope was holding out a coin. The coin was covered with Caroline's blood. Hope held it behind her back.
Hope muttered a few words, the blood changed colors and became transparent.
Her hand was on Esther's glass, small drops of the blood fell in the glass, and Esther turned around.
Hope looked at Caroline, and she nodded again.
Hope grabbed Esther, and hugged her.
"Please, don't do it, Grandma!" She whimpered. "Please! I love my dad!"
She pushed Hope away.
"Please, Control the child!" She told Caroline sternly.
"I am sorry!" Caroline grabbed her hand, and pulled her away.
"Hope Mikaelson, behave!" She told her.
Lizzie and Josie were muttering, they couldn't understand why their mother was being so crazy. She usually loved Hope. And she was gentle.
Hope cried,
"No!" She almost yelled, "I want my mommy!"
"Don't listen to her!" Caroline reassured her, and drank from her glass, and so did Esther.
"You are an intelligent woman, Caroline!" She told her, "I see why Nik would fall for you."
Hayley crept up from the back of the cemetery.
"I don't know why didn't Elijah pick a girl like you, protector of his family!" She told her.
"Because, you just don't know us?"
Hayley was right behind her. She tapped on Esther's shoulder, she turned around, surprised to see her. Too surprised to make a move. Hayley snapped her neck.
"Plan executed!" Caroline smiled widely. "Aren't you such a great actress!"
