Kenpachi walked, carrying Shinju by the shoulder, towards the tower. He noticed she was beginning to move. So he put her down.
Shinju squinted her eyes before opening them widely enough to recognize Kenpachi staring at her.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"It doesn't matter." "Let's keep moving," Shinju replied, managing to get back on her feet.
"Can you run?" asked Kenpachi.
"Again, it doesn't matter," she said. "If you feel like I would be holding you back, then leave me behind."
"I hope you are aware that you are our only way out of here, right?" Kenpachi pointed out. "If anything happens to you, I and the others would be stuck here for good."
"Is that so?" asked Shinju right before they heard footsteps coming from behind them.
From the distance, they could make out two silhouettes approaching, shadows that looked way too familiar to be classified as threats. They were Kazuya and Orihime, running towards them.
