Maddie doesn't want to overthink, concluding the matter is over with no more debt and walking away from Joshua. One week passed and Melody never contacted, giving Maddie a sense of calm she hadn't felt in a long time.

Maddie stretched her muscles before lifting her legs onto the glass table. She sat in the living room at seven in the morning while waiting for Castelia to prepare breakfast.

Maddie yawned widely before grabbing the phone beside where she sat. Maddie opened the social media app and her eyes opened wide. Maddie blinked before looking back at the news that appeared at the top. She lowered her leg as her back turned tense.

"Holy shit!" Maddie screamed hysterically while reading the news she opened.
