"My brother?" asked Aprophil, still everything felt as if it was untrue. "You mean Artemis?"
"Artemis won't live to be an old man, I'm afraid his destiny is short-lived and his wife knows that. It's why she's carrying a child now. She's trying to have as many children as she can before he passes."
The news had taken a toll on Aprophil and he had to take a deep breath. He did want the throne but he didn't want his half-brother to die, he thought he could negotiate it with him when he surrenders the city and force him to his knees. He wanted to rule Maldonia, but he also wanted his brother beside him. They could rule together, Artemis with his dragons and him with his mighty fleet – their enemies will crumble. The name "Artemis will live forever," but at that moment, he completely froze.
"Are you certain?" Aprophil asked Lord Balrus.
