The upcoming war which Artemis was certain that Leoric will attack Blackmount and try to take the sweet waters throne, was the main topic. Artemis admitted he didn't have a large army. "Only forty thousand men on my side. My cousin, Lord Hawk Aethelind was kind enough to bring ten thousand men to the capital. I can't ask for my lords to bring their men to the capital to fight for the crown. Many of them are in open rebellion…" He explained himself to Amabel. 

Artemis said it all not because he desperately needed men in his army, but because he felt good to have a brother who'll listen to him. Amabel was attentive and he paid attention to pretty much every detail that Artemis was telling him. He added an advice whenever he felt the need to speak. Both Aurora and Fatimah felt ignored by their men, but they also felt good to see them bond.
