“And you need to deal with Leona,” Eliana told me again for the third time. “Because she is going to destroy your happiness. One way or another.”

A strong determination coursed through me then, something so strong that I had never felt before.

“I will,” I promised.

I had just listened as she spoke, but I absorbed everything. And I had only become more and more sure about what needed to happen as she spoke. Eliana didn’t stay long after she told me everything that she had come to say, and soon, I bid farewell to my sister.

I went to bed that night determined to solve everything the next day.

I woke up the next morning with purpose.

I had a plan. And I was going to make sure that I executed it in full. There was no way that I was going to let anything stop me.
