章 126: Chapter 126: Ranker caliber

Let's just not go into many information on how I found out when the meeting between the 13 directors of the academy take place, but I do. I head to the meeting room where there was a secret entrance to a jade fragment and the tower's secret which only, me, my sister, and Emma knows.
There are lots of secrets out there, some are shared, some aren't. And even among them, people who found them tell other qualified raiders the location and what they do with it is up to the person who found it, many are shared to the point where the tower no longer considers it a secret and let it run amok without giving any rewards.
I walk past the guards and teachers who are patrolling the hallway stopping me from entering the room, and just by letting out my aura a bit and scaring them away, I head into the room.
The 13 directors, unlike the rankers, they must compose 1 person of every race to maintain some sort of balance and diplomacy, they also must be approved by the 13 admins after having their application submitted. To be the top 13, there's no need for 1 person of every race, it's just the strongest placed on there.
Well technically the ones who are chosen to go against fate or whatever, it was quite dramatic.
"Alright 13 losers of the academy, I got something to say that made me come here and disturb your meeting."
"What do you want? Even if you are a ranker and much stronger than us, you should still have some moral and good enough ethics to not disturb us." The gnome director retorted "Even a race known for being mischievous such as my own know to be better."
"You're really arrogant for an old man, if only you got a blue skin and wear a cute white hat, and much smaller and cuter, maybe younger too, I would have just laugh."
"Seriously, why are you here?"
"To check your security set up, after the recent attack, I want to see whether y'all are doing it properly."
I signal the teachers to close the door, i then used magic to make sure the door is properly sealed.
"You see, I heard from my clan that many world leaders are coming, my clan was hired to protect the queen of nature spirits, Valentina Artia. And the reason why I'm here, you see the recent attack from the healer, though not many know, she had the strength of a ranker."
That got their attention.
"I do not know what method of forbidden ritual they used or some forbidden pill they took, but they bypassed not just the threshold of a named, but all the way to a ranker despite just being a healer. You can see from pictures that her skin was damaged and you can easily tell she won't last.
"It's beyond dangerous and I'm here to give ya some advice, hire some rankers, I'm already taken, but there are a few others who would accept request for acceptable amounts. I can't save everyone, luckily that was a healer, now imagine that was an AOE type mage at Brennan's level, to take him down, people around me will die, you don't want that, do you?"
"That's why we're here to finalize our defenses and many other things." Anthony sighs "I have used my status as the academy's spokesperson and got some named and potential 100, but the rankers are out of our budget, and that's counting the fact that the potential 100 and named coming here for free of charge."
Told ya, they come here to scout, some convince them not to join the raider draft while most the others come here to evaluate their potential and background, that's why this inter class tournament is a very important event.
That's why those successful clans are here to scout, mine too, now that we got to be ranked really high, we should have a high acceptance rate if we were to approach someone, but the reason we're not ranked higher is because we have the lack of the named, the others sort of monopolize it already.
I checked their defense plan and their list of people and I'll be honest, it's actually impressive, it's hard for me to describe how their layout are in words, but my points still stand, if a ranker caliber person were to carry out an attack, lots of people are gonna die since it's crowded.
And I'm scared that they have already created something that mimicked the effects of the jade, it may lack in quality, but I'm sure quantity wouldn't be a problem for them since there are 13 worlds consisting of 13 races, but it is for us.
And why I'm scared, I mean, come on, one of the biggest competitions of all time, people love to carry out attacks during that time for cool timing with dramatics exits and further expand the story.
"Hire the duo nature spirits, healer and the playboy, give my name, they'll be there, their appearance should ward off some guys and might attract many new consumers for the academy's profit, they're pretty attractive and popular after all." i suggested
"How are we sure that they'll come?" the giant director asked "I don't think rankers owe each other that many favors."
"Just tell them I'm planning to seduce the healer's husbands since they're coming in her stead, she'll come and it'll be hard for her to leave, the playboy will naturally come along to seduce beautiful female named to join their clan."
"You want us to enrage a ranker as a middleman? Do you want us to die?" Anthony asked "No offense, we believe your words, but you do realize that you're the only one who's going to be okay since you're just that powerful."
"Then you do it, you're the spokesperson after all, they can't kill you easily, I'm off now, y'all know it's better to have 3 rankers on site instead of one, it'll probably attract the others too if 3 of us are there, bye now."
I know that none of them will tell the secret that the recent healer being a ranker caliber to the public, but I kinda hope one of them to be a spy for the other group, if there is an attack carried out that is the caliber to be equal to 3 rankers...one of them is the spy.
