We were bound and gagged, forced to seat into the hall of some sort. The place was decorated and lit with candles, string music played in the background as people lined the hall, seating down while chattering away joyfully. Their dark lord was getting married and they have come to witness it, he was getting married to Azar, my fucking half-brother.

My heart was heavy with sorrow at anger at the feeling of helplessness. There was nothing I could do except watch. My friends all sat beside me, looking at me with a look of pity but I just set my face in a hard glare and decided to ignore their look altogether. I didn't want to look at them and start a conversation about how Arianne was doing this for the greater good, I didn't want to listen at all.
