章 79: Chapter 78

Matthew came back from school at his normal time. No activities and no session today so all he wanted to do was go to sleep. When he touched the doorknob it opened surprisingly. He had put some of his weight on it so he had almost fallen on his face. His nose was assaulted with delicious aromas. There was no way dad was back so early. He hadn't even looked at the driveway before walking in.

He closed the door and went to the kitchen.

"Mum?" he was taken aback by her presence.

Helen was bustling around the kitchen wearing an apron. Why exactly?

"Matthew. Great you're here" she grinned. "How are you?"

"Fine" he just stared. This was like before. It was too much. He shook his head and waited for her to continue.

"Dad is having people over for dinner. Go take a shower".

He wanted to drop down. "Why?" he groaned looking up at the ceiling.

"No complains now Matthew. Up!" she scolded.
