I remember myself crying my heart out in Ryker's arms. He didn't say any words while cradling me in his lap. 

"I will wait, Raven. I will wait until you fully open your heart or the war ends. I will wait until you decide to open your heart again. Until then, I will remain loyal to you."

I raised my head at him and met his eyes. He even wiped my tears using his right hand gently. 

Both of us didn't say a word. And I saw him smiling at me before I let the darkness take over me. 

"How is the princess?" I heard a voice. 

"She's hurt. Let's wait for her to be okay, and we'll discuss everything when she's awake. How are the wolves? Are they ready for war, Onyx?" 

"Yes, Ryker. I hate that the bastard used our Princess. We failed to protect her from that prick. If only we had told her what her father told us, we could have saved her," Onyx said. 

I felt a hand that stroke my hair. I felt an unfamiliar spark through my body.
