章 146: Light and Dark

Ale immediately headed towards the gate when he heard about Alex's arrival. The others also followed behind.

The guards opened the door as Ale signaled with his hands, wanting to make sure it really was Alex and not some imposter.

"Ale!"

A familiar voice rang from the other side of the gate. Ale stopped in his track as he watched someone run up to him in the dark.

"Alex?!"

Alex jumped into his arm, in the most literal sense, and hugged him excitedly as if he was reuniting with his long lost friend.

Ale hugged him back with the delay of a second or two that he took to comprehend the situation.

The others that followed behind were all frozen in place as they watched the Crown Prince of the enemy Kingdom hug Ale with such excitement and familiarity.
