章 172: He Had Come A Long Way

When June 10th finally made its long-awaited appearance, it was another rainy day of the week.

Light rain kept sprinkling down from the sky, creating puddles of water and increasing the humidity. During this time, most people had to stay away from the beach.

Still, this rain didn't dampen Hisaki's spirit. Her plan to give a good birthday celebration to Heisuke would still go on as usual. She just needed to make a few minor changes due to the weather.

"So, come to my apartment at seven-thirty, okay?"

Once they arrived home after work that day, Hisaki reminded Heisuke about their dinner plan together that night. When the couple met in the morning, she wished 'Happy Birthday' to him together with a kiss. 

Because of the rain, the lovebirds had to rely on umbrellas to stay dry. Fortunately, today's shower didn't last long as the previous days.

"Okay," answered Heisuke with a smile, "I'd wait for what you'd surprise me."
