On the battlefield,
Two people stood in front of each other.
A man with a straight beard coming down from his mouth to his chin and a marine coat with a blue jacket spoke.
"So, my opponent is a little girl. It seems like I will be the first one to end this battle."
He took out his sword and he decided to end this battle with a single strike. Using Shave, he instantly rushed towards her but didn't expect the girl with orange hair to disappear in front of him just like himself.
"Shave! You can use Shave. Wait, where are you?"
Akehende shouted in shock. But when he looked around, he didn't see her at all. Without Observation Haki, he couldn't sense her presence.
'Thank goodness, I am good at hiding with this. Otherwise, that sword would've sliced me in half.'
Nami sighed a breath of relief when she found Akehende getting confused.
'I need to attack him to win this battle but if I attack, I will reveal my position. More importantly, my invisibility only works when I am actually trying not to move.'
'What should I do?'
Nami asked herself.
Her mind was full of fear, especially against a person like a Rear Admiral.
"It seems like you won't come out that easily. Then, I can change my opponent."
Akehende got irritated from her hiding and decided to change the target for real. He wasn't just saying that to pull out Nami.
He changed his target to a reindeer who was fighting against another Rear Admiral and decided to finish him.
When Nami saw that, her eyes widened. She clenched her Weather Stick and thought.
'If I let him attack Chopper, it will definitely overwhelm him. Chopper might get seriously injured. Then, all of our plans will fail.'
Nami didn't understand what was holding her back. She had the motivation to fight but this motivation was somewhat different than before.
When she fought against Zala, she was fighting for Vivi. Unlike this time when Straw Hats aren't fighting for anyone.
They fighting for themselves. They are fighting for identity, status, and power.
Two reasons why they would go into a battle are invalid here. She would neither gate money nor is she fighting for someone.
These two might be the core motivation for her battle; now, they are empty.
"Are you just going to stay here and watch that Rear Admiral attack Chopper?" A soft voice rang inside her head. Not knowing whose voice was, she didn't reply.
"If you don't attack, you might lose someone important to you. It's not about whether you will get money or respect. It's all about not making him disappointed."
"Are you really going to make him disappointed in you?"
When this voice continued to ring inside her head, Nami clenched her Weather Stick and shouted.
"No!"
She changed the intensity of the weather stick and released a massive amount of cold and hot air through the Weather Stick.
As soon as she revealed herself, Akehende stopped and turned around. Although he didn't know what those clouds were, he wasn't just going to let her attack.
He jumped into the air and slashed his leg.
[Tempest Kick]
A sharp blue light burst out of his leg and dashed toward those clouds. Seeing this, Nami immediately stomped her foot on the ground and jumped.
[Tempest Kick]
She also launched a powerful attack and the similar blue energy dashed toward his.
Bang!
Two collided against each other and released sharp energies that split the ground beneath them.
"You can Tempest Kick? Damn it! How can a pirate use our skill? I won't allow it."
Akehende roared and his body dashed toward Nami. He seemed to have forgotten the existence of those clouds.
'No, he is coming toward me. What should I do? Should I attack him with lightning? But, the amount of lightning that can knock him down hasn't been generated yet.'
'No, I need to fight him head-on. I can do it. I must do it.'
Nami got flustered for a moment and even thought of using the lightning from the clouds above them.
But just when she thought about it, she also realized that it wouldn't work and it would only create more problems.
She also decided to move forward as both of them prepared their fingers. Nami wasn't sure if she would be able to take this head-on but she decided nonetheless.
'Even if I break my finger, I will be able to knock him down with the lightning. I just need a perfect moment.'
Nami thought to herself as she charged her index finger forward. The marine was doing the same.
[Finger Gun]
Clang!
It sounded like two metals colliding heavily. Nami's finger didn't even flinch while the Rear Admiral felt an intense pain on his finger.
He who has trained his Finger Gun for so long lost in the contest of Finger Gun against a girl who started learning this just two months ago.
Fortunately, he didn't know that otherwise, he would've died of shame.
Of course, this had nothing to do with her training. She did train but it wasn't the result of that. Instead, it was the result of the medicine that had improved her physical strength.
"Damn it! How can a little girl like you exert more strength than me? I don't believe it."
[Finger Gun]
Akehende quickly took a step back. Nami thought he was going to retreat but when she heard his words, she was surprised and got even more surprised when he suddenly attacked.
To be fair, she wasn't ready for it. She gritted her teeth and decided to use her Iron Body. She wasn't sure if it would work but she had to try nonetheless.
[Iron Body]
Clang!
Once again, it sounded like the collision of metals. But this time, Akehende found his finger getting completely smashed.
The bones on his finger were broken and he could no longer use Finger Gun with that finger.
"In the name of justice, I can't lose against you."
Akehende proclaimed and retreated several meters.
"Why are you running now?" Nami exclaimed and quickly decided to chase him. While she was moving, she was also swinging her Weather Stick.
The clouds above them were slowly following her.
Nami suddenly stopped when she saw Akehende getting a sword from his subordinate. As soon as she saw that, her heart started beating wildly.
'No, I can't fight against sword. I will lose instantly.'
Although she realized that her strength had grown significantly, she knew that sharp objects were quite deadly. Even Luffy would need to use Haki to block them.
"Originally, I thought I didn't need a sword against a little girl like you. But, I was wrong and I paid for my mistakes. So, I am going to take you seriously."
Akehende swung his sword heavily, creating a powerful vacuum in the air. It caused a massive sword energy to burst out of the sword's edge and fly toward Nami.
"Damn it! I won't retreat."
