That wasn't the end because the next moment he was pitted against a cacophony of noises from different animals and humans in the river. All those that ever died due to blood loss were there, some crying, some chatting, some singing but as a collective, it was an insistent and irritating echo.
"You have a strong will to not be lost in the Loss River. Join me and I can pull you out!"
"O...!" Seth stopped himself because at that moment he didn't know who he was speaking with.
"I have no time to waste. If your Will is lost in this place, you will die. You have potential and your brother Dave is waiting for you. Accept and then I will save you. Even I'm being affected!"
It was the chief's voice speaking
"Nah, I'm good. You see, I get to know people here. It might seem crowded but it's good!" Seth said and the voices became louder than ever and the chief's voice was nowhere to be heard again.
