章 23: BITE
"DON'T!" I yelled as I sat up in my bed. My chest rumbled with nervousness, which I quickly gripped. Entrante! I took a few deep breaths and looked around my room.
My gaze was drawn to what appeared to be a figure in the corner. I just observed that the beloved Goddess was ruling the skies once more. It was dark everywhere, but when I raised my hand, the flowers in my room lit up and became a source of light.
Furthermore, I noticed the mortal casually staring at me, sitting and grinning. My brow quickly lifted, but I froze when I realized what had happened. When I looked at my clothes, I was startled and embraced myself since the clothes I was wearing were different.
I quickly locked my focus on him. "Entrante! You saw it all!" I yelled, but he looked at my body as if I wasn't wearing any clothes. I don't know , but I felt anxious and ashamed because no man had ever seen my naked body.
"Don't be shy, princess! I keep my eyes closed," he said quickly before closing his other eye, leaving only one open. "Entrante! You'll still see something even if you're like that!" I yelled, but he merely chuckled. He's getting on my nerves.
"So what? Your body is stunning!" he added nonchalantly, as I appeared to feel frigid at his remark. I want to appreciate his compliment, but humiliation consumes me. I want to sink into the ground because I don't want to see him anymore. He had seen everything! Everything!
"Your breasts are enormous, you have flawless skin, and your-" he averted looking at me quickly, and his blush could not escape my clear eyes. What do you mean? I'm not sure why, but my cheeks seem to have become flushed as a result of what he said. But no! There is nothing to be pleased about! I've been exposed!
Because of my embarrassment, I embraced myself even tighter. Even though I'm wearing thick garments, I feel naked in front of him. Entrante! Why do the things that bothers me the most constantly occurring with him?
"We will never talk about this day again, human!" I tried to raise my voice so he wouldn't notice my embarrassment. "But I want to discuss about your stunning body!" his teasing conduct quickly heated up my head. Is he thinking it's all a joke?
It is a shame for a woman and a royalty when someone sees your naked body, especially if you do not love him. The body of a woman is a fortress, and the person to whom you devote your love should be the only one who can see it.
"Vrei-Vreihya?" I turned to face him as he uttered my name. What is the reason for this? Why did he have to utter my name in that voice for the first time? I'd never heard my name called so tenderly before. I'm not sure, but I seem to be a wolf begging to be called by his master. Entrante! What is that?
"Actually, I'm waiting for you to wake up because-" he instantly stopped himself and avoided looking at me again, then I saw his pointed nose from that angle again. Did he only want me to see his beautiful physique, so he turned away?
"-I need to drink your blood again!" he said, and my mouth immediately opened. "Why didn't you just bite me when I was sleeping? You saw everything!" my irritated remark at him, for why would he be ashamed to bite? I don't have anything to hide from him.
Entrante! I'm utterly enraged! I've always imagined the moment when the man I'll love forever will see my body for the first time, but that dream appears to have been snatched from me.
"I can't do that! I'm not a monster like you!" he promptly replied, and I scowled at him. What exactly do you mean, Mino? What precisely do you imply? You appear to want another dispute.
"I can't do that without your consent!" he whispered softly, and I'm not sure why my irritation with him has lessened. Other vampire men may have taken advantage of me if they had seen me asleep and exposed like that.
I'm not sure why, but his statement made my cheeks flush again. "Look! I'm sorry if you're upset about what occurred, and you have a beautiful body, but that doesn't mean I have to take advantage of you!" he said weakly to me, and I immediately stared, noticing the pallor and weakness in his eyes. He must have waited for me for hours only to ask for my consent.
Perhaps he is progressively weakening as a result of the power he utilized in his duel with Calix and even the fight he had with me earlier. I'm not sure why, but his restraint just seems to caress my heart while he waited for me to wake up and ask for permission.
But my resentment remained since he had seen all. But this... it portrays respect and gentleness. He probably didn't want to see everything as all he wanted was for me to not sleep in soaked clothes.
"How can I be certain you didn't touch anything?" I asked, irritably, for what if he didn't bite me but actually touched something? I didn't automatically believe his words. I'm not sure why he just shook his head and chuckled softly, as if he couldn't believe my queries. We're talking about my body here! This is my body, and I will not be molested when I am unconscious.
"Look Vreihya-" I'm not sure why, but may he call me again? I'm not sure what's wrong with the way he addresses me, and I'm feeling strange. His voice seems to be made to call my name. He was about to say something when I heard my door open.
When I saw the woman coming in through the door, my eyes immediately widened. "Mother?" I exclaimed, surprised, as my mother swiftly approached me and hugged me tightly. What exactly is my beloved mother doing here? Mother embraced me even tighter, as though she was worried.
She cupped my cheek with both her palms as she broke free from our embrace. "Vreihya, are you feeling well? Are you no longer in pain, child? Are you no longer weak? It's a good thing I changed your clothes right away!" I grimaced at mother's rapid questioning, but the last one piqued my interest. Changed? Wasn't it Mino who changed my cloths all these time?
When mother hugged me again, I used the chance to gaze in Mino's direction, where I saw a broad smile. So he's simply messing with me the whole time? He didn't see everything! Is he just trying to trick me? I wanted to be upset because he was simply keen on playing with me, but my chest seemed to lighten as he saw nothing.
I'm not sure why I just smiled when I saw how he restrained his desire to laugh; perhaps he was pleased that I was so worried and tricked. Mother broke away from our embrace again, and she offered me a nice smile, which I simply returned because I couldn't say anything. She stood up straight from my bed, looking at Mino, who had become serious again.
"I'm sorry for slapping you so hard," mum stated gently, but what she said stunned me. Wait a second. Why was a slap has been applied when I was asleep?
"I understand my queen!" Mino said politely to my mother. Another thing I like about Mino is that he has never disrespected my mother since he arrived in our world. Even if he curses us and our world, he has the highest regard for mother.
I suppose he respects my mother because he can perceive her authority. "Oh wait, mother, why did you do that to him?" I said, surprised. "It's natural for me to slap him Vreihya, especially if I caught him in the middle of taking your clothes off," mother stated gently.
I'm not sure why I'm feeling ashamed again as my mother witnessed me in such a scenario. Because of what I learned, I was unable to react for a while. "Prepare yourselves because Alonzo and I have prepared something for us to eat; I will wait for you," she softly informed us, and mother soon left my room.
Mino and I are the only ones in this room. He stood up and began to walk, but I noticed his weakening and he was about to fall, so I quickly rushed in his direction and caught him in my arms.
Previously, he was the one who held me; now, I'm the one who is holding him to keep him from falling. Because he's so close to me, my chest is starting to flutter again.
"Come on, bite me! Bite me as long as you want," his lips parted in response to my remark. He deserves to be fed since he treated me with respect. He can bite now, and I will allow him if he wants another.
