章 159: Murdered

She went into the gap, hoping for the best, though deep inside expecting the worst.

Behind her, the noise of the mob became louder.

"Where'd she go?"

Murkato was almost out of the gap, but she stopped herself at the last second, hearing people on the other side. 

She was trapped.

The mob was behind her and in front of her.

At this point, the only thing she could do was to hope no one saw her.

"There she is!" the mob behind her shouted. "Catch her!"

There was nothing she could do except run forward. She got out of the gap between the houses and saw that it was a mistake.

The biggest mob was walking through this street, Savine at its helm. 

'Even if you try to escape, you'll likely be the first to fall. There's a higher chance of you surviving if you walk towards my lady, instead of away from her.'
