章 81: Youthhood

The situation looked grim. At this point, the city was on the verge of a rebellion, and it was obvious which side was going to win. Eliseline knew she needed to do something, but what was she supposed to do? Anything she did would look like she was supporting the losing side in favor of a rebellion. At that point, things wouldn't go well no matter what. 

At best, the situation would leave Eliseline hanged, while at worst, the entire losing side of the city would be dead with her. 

In the end, Eliseline could only sit there and hope things would turn out for the better. 

Regrets boiled inside her heart as she could only helplessly watch as her duchy fell into a pit of hell. 

Then, Eliseline's maid came to her with a letter. It was a marriage proposal. 

Normally, Eliseline perfunctorily refused them and that was that, but this time, Eliseline read through the whole thing and took the prospect very seriously.
