章 10: day 3: another dungeon run
I took a simple three hour nap it was around 2 in the morning and my internal clock always woke me up about 5 in the morning so three hour of sleep should in theory carry me out through the rest of the day. because sadly that was my sleep schedule before I came to this world.
(time skip three hours later)
my eyes jerked open almost like a alarm went off in my head. sometimes I love my internal clock because it helped me out a lot when I was younger and going to school. as I remove myself from the bed I start to stretch as I began making my way outside of the room as I looked into the Guild chat I decided to send a message up to everyone.
" all right everyone around 8:00 we will meet up at the mutated Goblin dungeon so be prepared I'm going to go ahead and go into the dungeon for a run."
as I started to fly making my way outside of the tavern and heading towards the dungeon I remembered that Tusk told me a dungeon like the goblin dungeon resets every 3 hours meaning in theory we could go through that dungeon about eight times in one day without going to sleep. nothing had an idea popped into my head and I decided to ask the system.
" is there a way for me to affect the way my subordinates grow besides with a name?."
the system took a few seconds but eventually did answer me.
" yes your subordinates can be equipped with any armor and or Equipment you want them to. they may also learn ability books and can also gain talents through doing certain things. you can also if you desire to keep them any spells you have that are not given to you by a weapon. they can also gain talents but you can only give a single Talent a single time to a subordinate. example if you were to give your Undead General the Double Trouble Talent you could not give it any other talents it will be forever Ben only able to receive that Talent from you."
I'm not in my head as I immediately decided to say something to the system.
" proceed to Grant balrog the Double Trouble Talent. also proceed to Grant him the poison Mist and undying servant spells"
I received a notification from the system with bra smile to my face.
" congratulations your subordinate balrog has gained the talent double trouble and has gained the Spells poison mist and undying servant."
with this my subordinate has just gotten a hell of a lot more dangerous. he could create second order Undead now making his troops a hell of a lot more dangerous when I send him off in a mission. then again now I think about it I could just send bowral into the dungeon and let him and his troops clear it bring the loot to me I will pick it up and send it straight to the guild bank and then way outside for everyone to come meet up.
I then had an idea I decided to ask the system to see if this can happen.
" system if I were to send balrog into a dungeon and I exited dungeon will I gain experience from what he and his troops kill?"
the system immediately replied and when I saw the reply I knew this was going to be a great time.
" yes but gear that is dropped in this scenario will only be able to be equipped by balrog."
hearing this made my eye twitch that that though it does make sense as soon as I see the dungeon I landed on the ground as I entered the dungeon extending my hand out I had a big smile on my face as I spoke.
" balrog rise"
with this balrog appears before me with a calm look on its face I looked up into its eyes and began to speak.
" I'm sure you've noticed your new Strength I wish you to clear this entire dungeon with only yourself and whatever troops you can raise from the grave consider this your first mission if you want any equipment you receive will only be used by you. so you will only grab the most for the type of fighter you are. you will leave all the others behind since they will be of no used to you. the dungeon will reset after 3 hours So when you're done facing every boss you will leave the dungeon irreport to me on if it was a successful mission on getting you ready for a battle with new equipment."
balrog nodded his head and understanding as he immediately summoned fenrir. both of them start to run off into the distance as I made my way to the entrance way of the dungeon I decided I wouldn't leave just yet I sat down on a rock pulled out a block of wood with a pocket knife and started carving it wouldn't be something really amazing it wouldn't be a complex thing it would just be a simple handle for a weapon I used to practice carpeting when I was bored on the job I found a real relaxing most of the time.
before I even knew it time went by pretty damn fast and I ended up looking up and noticing balrog standing there as soon as he saw I noticed him he began to report.
" mileage I'm happy to report I have been equipped with multiple epic grade items. in my combat Effectiveness has been increased by at least 150%."
I simply nodded my head as I unsummoned the balrog. I got up and began to leave I noticed that that all of my guild had just arrived and as I look at the system clock it had been 3 hours meeting in about a few seconds the dungeon is about to reset I looked over to Val as I decided to speak to him.
"Val your job is simply to do two things. one collect any materials you can and two collect any equipment that you could possibly use to recycle for materials. of course everyone will look at the equipment to see if it'll be good for them but you know the drill. as for everyone else same formation we use always Casters in the middle Tusk at the back Rogues at the side and me and whoever the hell considers himself a tank in the front which is only me and Shakti. oh yeah everyone meet Shakti she is the goblin companion I got from that unique Quest the other day."
is everyone nodded I look behind and I noticed the woods shavings that I left at near entrance were gone meaning that it just reseted. as we entered into the dungeon information I extended my hand out and of course summoned balrog as he stood ready the 3 newbies look shocked.
" you know the drill head out kill monsters recruit soldiers and help us clear out the dungeon."
he notices his head and went with his basic strategy of course with how mechanical everything was pretty much during this whole situation I end up losing track of time and zoning out of it. and by the end of the time we had pretty much reached the goblin Fortress. by the time I was in front of the first gate I received a notification.
" level up"
I chose to take a look at my stats

I started to think to myself as I stroked my chin as I let the undead Army do most of the work my Guild members grabbing the gear and materials.
" I'm nearly level 10 and two of my stats are nearly at the 90s which I should probably increase my intelligence when I get the chance because it's currently behind by at bare minimum 10 points. oh well I might just decide to leave the town after I reach level 10 to explore to see if there's any more higher level dungeons. that are in the Wilds because after all the more powerful names summons I have the better."
as I was thinking to myself I noticed that Riku was standing next to me soon as soon as Riku noticed I was paying attention to him began to speak.
" Master Artorias everyone in our party has been fully equipped with at least uncommon or rare equipment and considering we have the entire guild here we're all very well equipped. so I was wondering if you would allow us to raid dungeons on our own."
I thought about it for a few seconds because it was true. but then again there was the chance that this dungeon will reset which I do want all of them to milk this place dry of every ounce of experience and gear they possibly can after a few minutes I decided to speak.
" you may but if you don't have the rest of the guild all together for a raid on this dungeon then you will come to me and I will summon balrog to Aid you. I also have some plans about looking for dungeons out in the wild. so you have to be prepared to possibly leave this dungeon behind for us too take a crack at the new dungeon if it's higher level than this one."
Riku nodded his head understanding my point as he quickly ran off to join in the fighting well whenever he can get into it luckily the XP system didn't run off on damage contributed to defeat of a monster instead everyone gets a flat share of the experience with the person Landing The Killing blow obviously getting a bit more. eventually I decided to ask the system a question or two.
" system can a dungeon go through a second mutation?"
the system responded fairly quickly.
" it is possible but is far more rarer than even a standard mutation."
I nodded my head at this as I start to think up of another question.
" all right then no I have a second question how do I obtain a beast tanning ability."
the system once again responded fairly quickly.
" you can either obtain it in an auction house, defeating a boss level Beast, defeating a path of the Beast Shaman at me or finally obtaining it through a quest."
with this I know this was going to bring a smile to my face because at least there wasn't only one way of attaining it which would probably be really annoying in all honesty.
