Zhongshan Longwei kept his word throughout the night, he did not touch Xiang Mingyue. The barricade of pillows that she had piled up between them was useless in the end.

He maintained a stable position as he slept and did not move passed his end of the bed. Xiang Mingyue's eyes burned the next morning.

She stayed up for some hours hoping to fight him off but it was all for nothing in the end. She could barely keep her eyes open as the maids helped her get dressed.

The servant did not find her pale face and drowsy condition wrong. They just assumed that it was a result of the Crown Prince keeping her up. 

The older maids shared secret smiles. They have served the Crown Prince for years and were glad to see husband and wife get along. That was not usually the case in most arranged marriages.
