Her eyes roamed the lobby floor, searching for no one in particular. She already knew where to go in this massive, impressive building. Finding the man she had come to see had never been the problem.
It was the fact that she was not ready to confront him. It seemed no matter how she had rehearsed the words she would say to him. She still found it hard to face him. Not because he intimidated her. But because she was afraid of what she might hear from him.
So many questions plagued her mind after what had happened yesterday. It was like all her nightmares came to life. Then, she was doomed to relive it wide awake.
"We can always come back another day." The man beside her wrapped his arms around her shoulders as if trying to comfort her. But that was not what she needed. She could take care of herself, but what did she need?
