The five of them split up and walked toward the rooms on both sides of the hall.

Old Gao took the lead and was about to barge into the west room. As soon as he stuck his head out, he heard a crack in his ear and was shot in the head by an arrow that flew out of the house.

Old Gao fell under the roof with his eyes wide open. Blood mixed with the rain and water flowed to the ground.

Chu Yun and Ah Shen shouted his name as they retreated towards the hall.

On the other side, Second Master and Ah Shui had already realized that there was no trace of Ji Xiang and Ruyi in the room. Second Master looked at the broken window and was about to crawl in to take a look when he heard Chu Yun and Ah Shen shouting.

He hurriedly led Ah Shui out. When they came out, they saw Old Gao lying under the eaves.

Second Master looked at Old Gao, who had died with grievances. He was so angry that his eyes almost popped out.
