"Are you sure he's cheating on you again? You didn't even see her, Becca." Adam continued to question her, reassuring Becca again that perhaps what she felt could be wrong.

But Becca repeatedly nodded, that it was true, Tommy had an affair again. Only this time he doesn't know who Tommy is having an affair with. And he doesn't want to find out because it hurts him. So he chose not to know.

"How can you be so sure, Becca?"

Becca then looked at Adam. "Can we not talk about it for a while? Because I can't bear to think about it."

Adam then nodded. He pulled Becca into his arms, rubbing her back gently. He even kissed the top of his head as a sign that he loved Becca.

Adam didn't understand why there had to be an affair in Becca's relationship if he still chose to survive. It seemed Adam wanted to tell Becca to leave Tommy, but he held back because he didn't want to be a destroyer in Becca's relationship.
