"Are you feeling better right now?" asked Tommy, looking at her.
Their distance was quite close. So close that it crossed Tommy's mind to kiss Becca on the lips. But no, he thought. He couldn't kiss Becca with his slightly torn and bloody lips and an unkempt face.
Becca sighed, staring up at the ceiling of Tommy's study. She got up immediately and stood up without saying anything. She reached for a box containing bandages and the like to treat wounds.
"Rebecca ... "
Tommy was immediately pushed by her until he fell down on the sofa where she had been lying. Becca then sat beside him and with her skill and dexterity, she began to treat the wounds around her ex-boyfriend's face.
"I don't know why it's easy for men to have such high emotions that they can always vent it with blows that make themselves bleed," Becca said openly.
