章 5: Chapter 5 - LET OUT ALL THE ANNOYANCE

There was a point where Becca felt very sad sometimes. Her break up with Tommy certainly made her lose her spirit. But for the sake of revenge, she still had to do it.

Like yesterday... when she finally returned to the apartment with her drunk condition, her lust rising over the control of the alcohol, she and Tommy end up in bed.

And now Becca woke up naked. She was surprised and sad at the same time. Surprised because apparently, her defensive wall fell, and sad because she had to feel again how her heart hurt when she saw her ex-boyfriend making love with her best friend.

"Shit!" She cursed, then she ran to the bathroom.

Her breath hitched. She turned on the hot shower and let the water wash her body from the remnants of their love last night.

"What the hell did I do? How can I make love to him after breaking up with him?" she asked herself.

Becca closed her eyes under the shower. The scratches in her heart grew even more open because Tommy had made all of this. She shouldn't have made love to her ex-boyfriend. She should focus on her main goal.

But in the end, she knew, this was what she had to face, that cohabitation with her ex-boyfriend wasn't that easy. Moreover, her love for Tommy had not even diminished.

Embarrassed but she held it in, she came out of the bathroom. She still saw Tommy sleeping bare-chested which broke down her walls.

Becca immediately turned herself in to make breakfast for the two of them. Her hands were shaking with nervousness. But she also steeled herself that she would be fine.

"Good morning, Rebecca," Tommy called her complete name.

Becca just kept quiet and focused on her cooking. Her heart was pounding but she tried to look strong. She didn't want to show in the slightest how she still trembled for Tommy.

"You haven't been back in the apartment in a drunken condition in a long time," said Tommy.

There was a coffee machine running where Tommy was pouring coffee for him and Becca.

"And I can't believe that we're making love again," he added.

"It was a mistake," Becca said with a cold tone of voice.

The smile on Tommy's face disappeared. A mistake... were the words that scratched his heart because all he heard was how Becca meant it.

"And I won't do it again. I shouldn't have made love to my best friend's boyfriend," Becca added.

"Rebecca... I'm not dating her!" Tommy crush.

"But you made love to her. In your office. Even when I was around you. How could you not confess?" Becca explained.

"But I'm not dating her. Or anyone!"

Becca's hand went up, signaling Tommy to stop talking. She didn't want to ruin her morning because of it or because of her own mood after the alcohol had controlled her body.

And breakfast was ready at the dining table. They were already tidy with their clothes. They even have breakfast in silence. Every now and then Tommy glanced at her, exploring every face and body of her that looked so different.

"Damn it! How can she be this beautiful in such a fast way?" thought Tommy.

"Becca..."

A girl's voice, which had been absent for several days since the incident, called her name and her voice was heard in her ears and made her turn her head towards her.

"He's in there if you look for him," Becca said, answering before Paige asked.

"After work, can we talk?" asked Paige.

"No, I can't. I'm busy."

"Becca... I beg you."

Becca sighed. Hearing the pitying tone that was so pleading with her, made her not have the heart. Finally, she nodded at Paige. "But I can't linger."

"Thank you, Bec."

Paige walked into Tommy's room office shamelessly. And it crossed Becca's mind, how could the person closest to her have an affair with her boyfriend and appear as if nothing had happened between them?

"She came, didn't she?" Suddenly Drake's voice was heard.

Becca, who didn't understand at first, then raised an eyebrow, looking at him.

"You knew," Becca hissed.

Drake, like he was trapped in his own hole, made a guilty face at Becca.

"Ah... I should have realized you are a close friend of Tommy. I should have known from the start that you found out about his affair with Paige. You bastard!" cursed Becca.

She threw the things on her desk at Drake. She was even more devastated knowing that she was the only one betrayed here. Not only betrayed by her ex-boyfriend and her best friend, but also by her co-workers.

"Screw you, Drake!" cried Becca.

She grabbed her bag and chose to leave the office early, without being professional this time to anyone.

And Drake was after her.

"Becca... I'm so sorry. I was-"

"SLAP!!!"

A slap landed on Drake's cheek. And Becca had never slapped anyone so far. Drake was the first person as well as the first outlet for what she had felt in the last few years.

"You knew and you didn't tell me, Drake! That's tantamount to you supporting him! You have no idea how hurt I was to be treated like that to them! Four years, Drake... Four years I was with him and was ruined just because of my best friend!" Becca cried, her voice shaking and tears ready to fall.

Her shoulders shook. She did not care about being watched by several people outside the office. For just one day... for just one day she needed to let out all her annoyance. And she felt Drake was the right person.

"I can explain, Becca," Drake said in a soft voice.

"Fuck you! I don't want to talk to anyone! Because no one understands, including you!"

Becca got into a taxi that was at the side of the road. Then she told the driver to go to the apartment she mentioned. Only then did she burst into tears, silently so painfully.

And when Becca looked back, she saw Tommy and Paige coming out of the office, staring at the taxi she was in. And she was grateful that this way she could cancel her meeting with Paige.
