Tearing her gaze off him, Melrose thought if Reed knew all along what his cousin had been doing for him to question her trust in Vincent. The lord wasn't someone one could see everyday so she believed he must have been aware of Vincent's true nature. Why else would he question her like that? And now that she had a clear answer, she knew there was no assurance that Vincent wouldn't do something she wouldn't like.
Vincent brought her to one of the private rooms in the palace only the royal family and a few servants could enter. The head maid brought refreshments and snacks while the others were waiting outside the room.
