"I would be honored to do so Lady Belgemine, though may I ask, what brought on you wanting to test me?"
"Even if you aren't a conventional summoner by any means, you are still a summoner, and I see the potential you have to go much further than any before you. So, prepare yourself, and the test shall begin." With that said, she summoned Valefor to fight me. I still wondered what was happening but figured that my presence in itself must have caused this.
I went along with it and summoned my ice dragon. Belgemine covered her mouth, and giggled for a little bit, before commanding her Valefor to attack. I wasn't going to allow that though and had my Ice dragon attack at full force from the get-go. It couldn't use its overdrive, but it could still shoot beams of ice from its mouth and conjure ice twisters with its wings.
The battle went back and forth for a while, before my dragon came out victorious, but not without it having a lot of wounds. (For those reading this, can you guys/gals/whatever you identify as, come up with a good name for the ice dragon? For each dragon summon, there will only be one, so I think it would be a good idea to come up with names for them. I will go back and change it in future chapters once a name is decided upon.)
I petted my ice dragon's head, thanking it for doing a wonderful job, then I unsummoned it. My party cheered for my victory, and Lady Belgemine gave a slow clap.
"Wonderful job. I see a very prosperous future ahead of you. Here, take this, and allow me to heal you as well." She restored my mana and passed me a floating blue orb that felt somewhat hollow. When I took it from her, it went straight in my sphere grid.
I checked my inventory to see what it was and was blown away by what I saw. [Summoner's Soul (AMS Variant)]. In the game, the normal version of this was given to Yuna after she beat or lossed to Lady Belgemine in Moonflow. It would normally just allow the player to use items to teach their summoners new abilities.
Then Yuna would get the [Aeon Soul] from beating her in the Calm Lands, which allowed them to use items to boost attributes. With that being said, mine allowed me to do both, for all of my summons. The best thing about it is, for the weaker summons like my fairies, or normal constructs, when I boost one, it boosts them all. Also, I don't have a limit on how strong I can make them, I just need enough items. This…Changes…Everything.
I stood still for a good amount of time, before Yuna tapped my shoulder to wake me up from daydreaming. Belgemine already left, and everyone was preparing to rest for the day. It seemed like the day/night cycle seemed to be functioning normally now and isn't in a weird state of being frozen.
(To touch up on this, the reason why time seemed to be frozen around Yole and his party, to the point that a day/night cycle didn't appear, was because he was in a period where there were a lot of events where it wouldn't make sense to happen at night, or bright and early in the morning. Now, around the time that the game allows Tidus to freely play blitzball from the save sphere, I figured it would be good to have the day/night cycle. I just wanted to explain this point, so nobody got thrown off by the day/night cycle all of a sudden appearing when they are traveling, because I know that it is almost always daytime in the game unless you are traveling to certain locations.)
With that being the case, I asked everyone to stop trying to prepare a camp, they looked at me weird, but complied regardless.
[3rd Person, you know the drill]
With a smirk on his face, Yole raised his hand towards the center of the road, and an inn, similar to the one in Kilika was spawned in the place that his arm was aimed. There was even some extra fanfare with a large magic circle that was purple in color, and some mini fireworks. Most of the party were shocked, while Auron, Lulu, and Wakka were chuckling.
"I need to make a bunch of adjustments to the inn itself, so feel free to rest inside, everything you need should be within it, including food, water, bathrooms, and more. I also marked each room with a name on it so we know who's room is who's. There are a few spare rooms, but I'm sure they will get put to use at some point." With that being said, everyone went inside, excluding Yole, Lulu, and Yuna who was curious as to what else Yole would add to their new mobile home. Yol handed Lulu something that seemed like a book, but it had a cover with a picture on it.
"What is this Yole? It looks a lot more different than what I usually read."
"Well, it's something that I created, called manga. It's a new book format that appeals to a wide variety of audiences. This particular one has a multitude of chapters, and is called One Piece. If you like it, let me know and I'll print out more chapters for you." Yole smiled when he described it, like he was talking about something wonderful. Yuna resonated with his energy and asked for a copy of her passed her a different manga titled 'Guilty Crown'.
[Yole's Pov]
I internally chuckled, because I wondered what Yuna's reaction would be once she read Guilty Crown. Lulu though, was a very avid reader, and was running out of things to read, so she was craving more books. One piece should satisfy that craving because surprisingly, she loved reading shounen-like books.
We shall see if the story that never ends will be enough for her. When the two of them left for their rooms, I spent the time upgrading the inn, to make it more advanced like the Al Bhed ones. I managed to hack into Home, and it was extremely easy. They didn't have any systems in place to protect it.
I'll have to discuss this with Rikku once we meet up with her, to see if she would be fine if I put a bunch of protections in place to help out with the security systems. That being said though, this gave me a ton of crafting recipes for a multitude of things ranging from homes, vehicles, inns, computers, laptops, tablets, and much more. 'Home' was extremely advanced and ahead of its time.
I wonder if I will be able to recover some of the more advanced technology from Zanarkand though? Only time will tell. With that being said, I worked through the night to upgrade the inside and outside of the inn. By the time I was halfway through, Lulu interrupted me, asking, or rather, demanding for more chapters of One Piece. I just passed her the next 10 chapters, so I wouldn't be bothered for the rest of the night.
A similar situation happened with Yuna though, and I passed her the rest of Guilty Crown, since I already had it printed out. One might wonder how I have the knowledge of all of these manga. Well, whoever sent me here, saw it fit to put every manga, anime, light novel, anime opening, and ending, in the miscellaneous section of the menu, under 'entertainment'.
There was even a section for h*****(If you know, you know.). So, I decided to spread this culture to the world of Spira and get rich off of it at the same time. By the time FFX-2 happens, Spira will be completely different. My goal is to turn all of Spira into weebs.
Once I finished upgrading the inn, it looked more like a hotel. The thing was four stories tall, with twenty rooms on each floor, outside of the first floor. The entrance had automatic doors, there was a nice front desk with a computer on top of it to manage people coming in/out. It had a dining area on the first floor, with a kitchen attached to it.
A rest area, with a large, flat screen tv, several couches made out of the fur of various fiends, and there was even a place for an indoor pool/jacuzzi. There is no way I would have been able to pull this off without waking up, or disrupting everyone, unless the crafting skill had some magical bs to go along with it.
At this point, I was inclined to believe that was the case. There were also elevators, and stairs that lead to the upper floors. Each room except the ones on the fourth floor have one to three beds, one bathroom, and a desk. Each of the rooms made for the party were customized with one king sized bed, several desks, a book shelf, a weapon rack, a tv, a phone for room service in the future, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom that would normally be attached to a master bedroom in a 5-star hotel.
I felt that I outdid myself with this one, and everyone in the party was thankful for it. I had to have them step out of their rooms temporarily when upgrading them, but they were able to use the other rooms for the time being.
When they stepped into their own personal rooms however, all of them were shocked at the luxurious look of them. Wakka had a strange look on his face. Probably excited at the fact that the room is amazing, and thrown off at the amount of machina in the hotel.
He eventually just shrugged his shoulders and got over it though, our friendship being strong enough that he would get over something like this. I'm thankful for that, because it might mean Wakka won't be nearly as harsh on Rikku in the future. I also put soundproofing in the rooms, which should help Rikku once I have to deal with dodging 200 freaking lighting bolts. Man, I am not mentally prepared for that right now.
Hey Everyone! So My plan for the future after this is to release 1-2 chapters per week, but the chapters themselves will be longer to compensate for that. Also, sometime in the future I will probably open up a ko-fi or Pataron. Since while I could post a bunch of chapters ahead, I would rather keep them at the same frequency everywhere. I also have this fic on FF as well. I might start posting another fic alongside this one as well, but that one is a big Might, since I want to focus hard on this one until its finished.
