"Blake, unless there's something really urgent don't bother me in the basement. That includes food, I won't be eating anything until I get out of the basement."

Those were the exact words that Vera had said to Blake before holing herself in her basement.

And it made Blake realize something bad must have happened and Vera wanted to prepare herself for something.

He then stared at the new bracelet that Vera just gave her this morning before she came back into seclusion.

"Put nether into this bracelet when you found another humanoid demon, and wait for me to come. Don't engage them in anything, be it a talk or a fight. You understand?"

Blake just nodded his head in understanding and wore the bracelet on his wrist when Vera told him those words and gave him the bracelet.

But deep down Blake really wanted to ask Vera what made her very worried that she even decided to skip meals even though she clearly loved to eat.
