章 19: Entry 16
———Month 4, Day 1————-
I'll explain for the future how our burgeoning society has developed, like all societies it's back bone is food, water, and shelter l.
Our Food production is split into two separate groups, traditional style like normal field farming our going off shore and fishing or more scientific avenues like hydro and aquaculture.
Traditional makes up little of our food production do to me limiting the available land for what would be wasted land, of what is available is mostly used for animal husbandry.
The only current animals we raise is chicken and pigs, as with the newly educated immigrants I have set the them to begin developing pre-war animals that can be brought back. There first task is to develop a species of horse that can be sold to the wasteland or released into the world to provide easier transport.
The bulk of our food is produced in in either hydroponics or aquaculture areas, hydroponics are used to grow pre-war un modified crops for use in the city while the modified are shipped to various settlements all over the Commonwealth.
Water, I developed a massive water purification/ waste filtration system that flows to the city and farms giving clean and pure water, while the waste is processed from humans and farms to be used in fertilizer.
Even the urine is used to make different explosions after going through some manufacturing process.
Lastly is shelter, I had written about using some solar punk ascetics which I have stuck with in our expansion, with using this style our actual building foot print is extremely small.
So as of now we can hold about 5,000 thousand people comfortably while also feeding them with our cutting into our food sells, but we don't have anywhere near that many people living here right now only about a hundred and most are recovering from various illnesses and the hard lives they have had.
Now the laws of our city are quite loose, most of them are based around the rights each person or AI are given.
Recreational drug are legal and heavily regulated, prostitution is considered a completely normal career. Guns and other weapons like laser rifles are actively encouraged to be trained and bought as even with our amazing defenses and walls we still need to be prepared.
Out side the city in the commonwealth we have a number of various outposts for recharging robots, resupplying, and rest stops for our various patrols or caravans.
These stops are at various cross roads or at metro entrances and exits in Boston proper, acting as expansion markers for the metro system of Boston. As with it we can access all of the city of Boston and allow us to expand from various points with our having to make deal with various settlements and just absorb them naturally.

With our city slowly expanding I can focus on dealing with the Institute as they have begun making repeated incursions into my settlements and outposts trying to infiltrate into the city.
At first it was simple spying missions from Gen 3s who were promptly deprogramed of any brainwashing from the institute and allowed to integrate into the city but not allowed near any critical infrastructure.
But they of course escalated when we had the turrets shoot down any birds as they we're actually spy drones, and now with our expansion into the metro system we have neared the old CIT building where they have built a underground settlement.
Now they have begun sending gen 1s at our outposts and from my own guess whispering into the ears of various raider factions to try and attack our faction.
That is what I and my growing military have been dealing with for the past 15 days, which has Interrupted my initial plan. So now I have had to speed up the air scavengers plans as we are still relying scrapped items.
Originally I had been relying on my haulers to bring back loads of cars or other wrecked vehicles for materials, so I had to build a VTOL vehicle that could maneuvers through the various skyscrapers while also being strong enough to pick up entire semi-trailers.
So the Cargo Lifting Vehicle (CLV) or called by it's nickname the fat bastard, it has begun flying all over the commonwealth bringing back those metal cargo containers filled with scrap.
———Month 4, Day 10————-
I've been heming and hawing back and forth on how to deal with the institute as efficiently as possible, they could be useful if I needed that many teachers but with the system I have in place that problem will solve itself in the next two or three years.
So I have no real need for them rather I just need their knowledge, and I know just the woman to talk too.

The noise of the helicopters of the Solars* had become common over the past couple of weeks for the people of Goodneighbor, as they would stop by at the end of each week and pick up a cargo container filled with what ever scrap the town produced and gave them 10 cap per 10 pounds of scrap which the more destitute of the town were more than happy to Try out.
So when the helicopter landed and men and bots unloaded off the thing, they called for Hancock immediately.
Milo-"Good morning Goodneighbor, I apologize for the surprise visit but I need to speak to your great mayor. I have a great business deal for him and this great town."
Milo then moved to stand beside his men and bots, the Hoplite bots stood in-front while his men which were wearing identical uniforms and power armor with the Atlantis Logo right over the heart.
Hancock in all of his Ghoul glory slowly and confidently up to where the group had gathered and walked right up to Milo for a handshake.
Hancock-"Welcome to Goodneighbor, I was told you have a business opportunity for my town."
Hancock then motioned for me to follow, I left the bulk of my guards but had two men and one boy follow while the rest were allowed to visit the various shops but no drinking, We followed Hancock to the old state house where he had set up his office there he had his staff set out a some refreshment.
Hancock-"Well normally I would wine and dine, then have this discussion through sharp whit and fancy words but I don't think that will work with you so what does the leader of the Solars want with my town."
Milo relaxed into the chair more "I'll be up front then, first I need to meet with doctor Amari her memory technology is quite interesting and I would like to explore its uses in teaching my citizens. Two the bar in town Third Rail, we are connecting the metro back up so we want to cut a deal with the owner to allow us build a stop here in Goodneighbor."
Hancock-"I'll send a runner to let Amari know but for the rail that is outside my hands but I'll make sure they know it's legit."
