All this time when Deimos was discussing things with others in the courtroom believing that no one was listening to their conversations, Aldrich was eavesdropping them. 

He never actually left the place. He was their all the time till now. When the guards were told to leave to the places they were told to guard, Aldrich pretended to leave. But he never actually did that. He waited for everyone to leave and when they did, he came back to overhear them.

The moment he heard the name of Kingdom of Demacia, he knew something colossal was happening behind the scenes without the knowledge of Queen Amidala. He was glad to find something like that when he was just there to collect intel about Ardolf. What made him more content was the fact that queen would reward him a big amount after he informs her about Demacia.
