章 17: Position Test

Well the first class of Spear Bearers wasn't anything. The instructor taught us the importance of the position to the team and different way that we can utilize it. He even asked us to form a contract with Administrator to gain access to the use of Shinsu. I had already informed my teammates not to form a contract because we don't need them, also I told them to pretend as if they had completed them.

After meeting the administrator, during the contract ceremony. I asked him if he could give our team a secret test from him. He asked me if I was sure and I replied yes in reply. This is basically the deal I made with Headon so that I can secretly take the tests from Floor Admins, and pass the floors as fast as possible. I have to reach 50th floor in just 2 years after all.

He then told me that in order to pass this secret test, he won't make it hard for us. It's just we all have to pass the Position Test exam through Special Position Test. And he specifically emphasized the "all" part meaning that we all have to pass it. I am not really worried about Shishou, Freya or Rimuru. I am more worried about Subaru and Kazuma. Nevertheless I accepted the test.

After that I informed everyone about it through chat group, and told them that they better do it. I also told them to practice the Shinsu Heart Technique because it will rapidly increase their physique just to accommodate that heart.

After all the class and the discussion. I went with Shishou to buy some 'modern' clothes. After some time we bought some clothes. She currently wore black coat, shoes, thigh high boots and stockings. Anyway the point is, she looks good. [Image Here]

After that we went into a training room before changing into some loose clothing and sparred. I can last around 2 minutes now against her. Also my Spearmanship skill level has reached 100 and has stayed there. It's probably time to evolve the skill and for that I have to become one with the spear which I find difficult.

"Hmm, disciple you are quite close to the level of a master of Spearmanship now. You are the most talented person I have ever seen in Spear arts. Now you just have to become one with the spear to achieve that realm of mastery. But this isn't something I can help you with, everyone has a different type of enlightenment for this. So work hard and become a spearmaster soon." She said to me while looking at me with a satisfied(?) face.

"Thank you for your teachings Shishou, without you my training speed would have been quite slow." I say to her. And it's the truth, I mean I could have had similar improvement without her but it would have taken a longer period of time.

"No need to thank me disciple, I just want you to become more adept in these spear arts so that we can increase our skills later through each other. After all between improving alone and improving with a rival. Improving with a rival is much more faster and better. I hope you won't let me down disciple." She says with some excitement on her face but I just find that beautiful. I absolutely loved that expression and was proud that it was because of me, I wanted to just possess and own that expression for myself. I just absentmindedly nodded along with her and then realized what I was thinking, I just shook off these thoughts later. After that we sparred some more, and then we retired to our rooms.

After returning to my room, I remembered my possessive desire towards Shishou and I was confused and felt guilty at the same time. I was feeling guilty because of Freya, I mean I basically I accepted my relationship with her last night and now I am looking at another woman like that. Well whatever I need to focus more on my training, these stray thoughts won't help anyone. And then I started circulating the Shinsu Heart technique to get it to the next level.

At the current pace, it will take around 2 months to get to the next level. Soon enough it was evening. Someone knocked on my room. I opened it to find Freya standing there. I invited her inside the room, then closed it. After that I continued my shinsu circulation, I also told her to do it as well and she just followed my instructions. Soon night fell and we stopped our training.

"So how was your day? Did you learn anything good?" I asked her.

"Well it was alright. I mastered the usage of Lighthouses in the day and passed the Special Position Test today. The instructor said that my Lighthouse usage was perfect for a Regular. He also said that he can give me private lessons but I refused because I don't think he can teach me anything I can't figure out myself. Also the guy didn't seem to have pure intentions. Anyway I don't have to go to classes now. So I will just stay with you or in your room. Is that alright?" I was stunned and a little angry that a little Ranker dared to covet something of mine. I was also a bit happy but the anger once came was like a fire on oil and it just increased with time. Freya must have also noticed my aura because she started to look worried and asked me. "Are you alright?"

"Freya you can stay here as much as you want. Just tell me the name of your instructor." I just calmly answered her and then asked a question of my own. She seems to understand me and realize my thoughts and then chuckles a little. And then she opens her sexy lips and tells me.

"Perospero. That's his name." My lips unconsciously twitch at the name. I know Freya isn't joking but my anger diminishes a little because of the name. Anyway I get up and move towards the door.

"Darling where are you going? Should I come with you?" She asks me. I just shake my head and answer.

"No need I am just going on a walk."

Sorry about the delay in updates. But there's no choice honestly for me, I am quite busy these days that I don't get enough time to write these chapters. I mean I do get some free time, but I usually like to write chapters in one sitting so that I don't forget things.

Anyways I decided to write shorter chapters just to keep the updates consistent otherwise I would just keep procrastinating and not write chapters at all.
