章 50: 50 – As my world falls apart

Akane is lying on the ground, wounded. The world around her is being destroied. Everything around her is exploding.
AKANE: So this is the cause of my actions? Did I train and fought all my life just for this?
She looks on her right at the Uglax. The rock is destroying everything. Akane starts crying. AKANE: It's all my fault.
''AKANE'': Pathetic girl. All my life I was hidding my emotions... They taught me to do so. And now, tears. Ha! Pathetic. The whole universe will cease to exist because of me... Because of my emotions, because of them... Because of him. I'm no assassin. I'm weak. And just like that, I'll die.
Akane's clenches her fists.
AKANE: Whatever it takes...
She stands up and starts moving towords the Uglax.
SEI: A-Akane what are you d-doing?
She moves closer to the Uglax. She reaches her hand towards it.
SEI: Akane no! NO!
She closes her eyes, tears falling down her cheeks.
AKANE: Whatever it takes!
She grabs the Uglax. Her head tillts back and her eyes open glowing bright blue.
Akane opens her eyes, finding herself in a spaceless place. A woman is standing infront of her. Behind her there are projections of multiple futures.
ANTEVORTA: My name is Antevorta and I'm the woman of the future.
AKANE: I'm here to destr-
ANTEVORTA: To destroy the Uglax, I know.
AKANE: I must heal it.
ANTEVORTA: If you do this and the Uglax is destryed I die too.
A sword appears in her hand.
ANTEVORTA: So what makes you think that I would let you do that.
AKANE: Fine.
Akanes hands start glowing and start fighting. Akane is having a tough time with her. While fighting, Akanes right hand is burning up.
ANTEVORTA: You should hurry.
She points at her hand.
ANTEVORTA: You don't have much time.
Sei is looking at Akane.
SEI: No Akane!
He tires to reach her, but Mira stops him.
MIRA: No don't touch her!
SEI: But she'll di-
He turns to her and notices tears in Miras eyes.
MIRA: She asked you to trust her, didn't she?
Sei looks at Akane again and moves his hand away.
Akanes half of hand is burnt.
ANTEVORTA: I see you're choosing this future.
She moves beside and theres a projection of dead-burnt Akane lying on the ground while the whole universe is being destroyed.
The pain in her arm gets more intense and she falls.
ANTEVORTA: The clock is ticking!
