"When we… I um…" Bells stuttered, her heart fluttering like crazy again, rising up in her throat like it was desperately trying to break free and fly away. "Please don't get scared. Please don't hate me," she muttered, tears clouding her eyes again. 

David's face went from being frozen in disbelief—like he had just learned that his mate was pregnant with a girl, but like… in the future—to cleaving in concern. 

"Why would I hate you? Why would I be scared?" He asked, moving to the chair next to her and tilting her chin up so she wouldn't hide again. 

"I know things that you aren't ready for. I'm sorry. I can't help it," she sniffled. "I try to never talk about it, but I guess… being with you now, I'm just so relieved," she chuckled. "Selah always said that I would scare you away. She said you would hate it. And no one has ever wanted to hear what I see. I understand, and I understand if you're upset…"
