章 121: Feeling Better

"Your wrists are already healing," Cora said in awe as they were eating at the table in her room. 

Zane had gone off to investigate the rest of the floor and probably to flirt with Kat, but Penelope was sitting between her daughter and Theo as they both worked on getting their strength back. 

Theo had been very quiet so far. Penelope could feel all of the things that were left unsaid that he wished to reveal to Cora, and there was a palpable sweetness to it that made her nostalgic for her own mate. But she was happy for Cora that her mate was here. The odds they were all facing seemed impossible, and there was no way to know how this was all going to work moving forward, but they were finally together.

Theo turned his wrists over as he chewed his food, seemingly unimpressed by his own healing. 

"Are you feeling better?" Cora asked, taking another slow drink of her juice. 

He nodded. "Are you?"
