After bidding farewell to Wang Dongdong, Wang Ye and Zhang Xiaoxi drove around the city and didn't find much to see.
The capital city of the province remained the same as before, with the new district on the side showing some signs of change, while the old city had barely changed at all.
However, the streets seemed crowded with people, and all sorts of shops lined the roadsides, doing apparently good business.
Zhongyuan is an inland agricultural province; apart from grain, it probably just has a high population!
It's only 2005 now, and coastal cities have already started undergoing earth-shattering changes, it's just that the winds of reform and opening up haven't blown into the mainland yet.
A few more years later, inland areas like Zhongyuan Province really began to develop.
Having looked around and finding nothing particularly interesting, and considering that the new highways had made travel much faster, they decided to head home.
