章 29: Boss's Girlfriend
Joseph arranged a press conference at 3:00 pm and revealed their investigation report. He only revealed about City F's big fishes , did not mention the link between other big fishes. And he also showed everyone that he solved a tricky big case which was the tumor of City F. Only he and his team knew the full investigation report about the case. So they knew that this was just the beginning of this big tricky case. However everyone in Joseph's team were honest and good friends of Joseph. Thus they kept their mouth fully shut.
After revealing the case report , City F once again became active. But those big fishes sighed in relief. Because they thought Joseph's team may get some clues about their connection. Thus they also sent their teammates in disguise of the official members along with the real ones to check the situation in City F. But they got nothing. So they removed their focus from Joseph and his team.
In this way many officers along with Robert's team got fooled by Joseph and his team. But Robert's team got some clues from City F about the big fish's involvement. So they reported to that Robert. They even hinted at Joseph many times about those clues. However Joseph and his team members ignored it completely. When Robert and Sam watch the press conference , they somehow become dumbfounded. Because they thought Joseph's team would at least mention some of those clues. But they not only did not mention it, but also perfectly cut the connection between two sides. Sam started to think that Joseph's team may get bribed by those big fishes.
However Robert's thoughts were completely different from Sam. After thinking for a while , he understood why Joseph and his team members had a lukewarm attitude with those big fishes and hid those clues which could build a connection between those big fishes. Then he looked at Sam and ordered him to set a meeting at the main base of their organization. Half an hour later Robert arrived at his hidden main base and went directly to the meeting room.
"What do you all think about the press conference earlier?" Robert asked his subordinate(who were summoned for drug case of City F).
"Boss, I think those big fishes somehow got the insider information about the case. Thus they bribe some Joseph's team members to remove their connection or they may threaten those members." One of the subordinates.
"Boss, I think Joseph and his team members did that deliberately. He may have some plans for the future or he also has involvement with big fishes." Robert's other secretary Brian Lu replied.
Hearing Brian's reply , other subordinates of Robert started to think deeply and also agreed to Brian's theory about this matter. Sam also pondered about this matter and got another theory. But he got conflicted. To say boss or not. Robert certainly noticed Sam's conflict and signaled him to say his theory. After getting Robert's signal , Sam said his theory.
"I think Brian is half right. After thinking about all of the matter, I think Miss Maria June and Joseph Foley both did this purposely. More likely Miss June's idea to me. After witnessing her and her friends wicked ideas for their enemies , I can say that this plan came from Miss June also. I also think her friends of City F could not think of this kind of long term conspiracy. And everything is still going smoothly for Joseph's team. It looks like it was well planned. As for the relation between Joseph and Miss June, I can only give a conclusion that she is the unofficial member of the team. I'm only 95% sure of it. That's the theory I can say after observing the total situation."
Hearing Sam's theory Robert nodded his head in approval. He was satisfied with Sam's quick catch. As for his other subordinates, they were stunned and shocked silly by hearing a female's name in this situation. They could not believe that Sam would mention a lady's name with respect and also in this meeting room. It looked like this lady was not ordinary at all. Only Brian gave his full attention to Sam's theory. Thus he continued.
"Big brother, are you saying that Joseph's purposely do this and want to catch the next big fish? If that is right , then why did you mention a lady's name here. Can you elaborate?"
"Actually Miss June is an unofficial member of Joseph's team. That's my assumption. I did not find her detailed information about being a member of Joseph's team. But she had several meetings with Joseph along with his teammates or without. Also I only got one page information and the rest information is blank. We did not even find her parents name also. As for why I said that she is the mastermind of this plan , all of you check her limited information and work details of recent days. Then you all will understand my point of view. Speaking of Maria June , she has a complicated background and also has a relation with Country X. Currently we witnessed Mike Jones and her close relation. Although we only found her nationality as a citizen of Country S. Also as far as I can understand, I think Mike Jones and Maria June both are childhood friends. ... ... ..."
After that Sam told them the details about the incidents and events of City F which happened with their boss. After hearing the whole details , they never thought in their wild dreams that their boss lost his bachelorhood in this way. Now they started to think about how their boss's life would be colourful from now on.
"Sam is right. Actually it did happen. Joseph's team will definitely lay low and won't accept their promotion also. And they will be staying in the City F for a long time. As for what will be their next plan , we have to look out for that. This should be done in low profile. Their next destination will be City B. So prepare yourself for that. The team I sent there , will be staying there. They can help Joseph's team by staying in the dark. No one should know our connection , or it'll be terrible for us. They have another task and that is - track every movement of Maria and her friends. Because we need to know Maria and her friends other information through this. Even if we launch multiple investigations, we won't find her actual identity. She has a hacker who's always helping her and her information is covered in different layers. So be careful around her. She is much more sensitive and intelligent than any of you here. She can compare to me in terms of calmness, cruelty and smartness. She also did not even know my identity and power. Thus she could misunderstand their tailing and thinks as an enemy." Robert said with a serious and cold voice.
After that he left the meeting room by leaving everyone speechless. Because their boss said so much and praised another person as his equal footing. Also he praised a lady and he seemed to show his gentle side at the mention of that lady. It looked like they would get a lady boss soon. However they did not know that the lady boss would be the devil queen for themselves. They still had uncertainty that Miss June would be worthy of their boss. Because their boss came from the most prominent family and he was head of highly praised organization Blue Tide.
On the other hand Brian took Robert and Sam's opinions seriously and went to check things for himself. In this way he would be more about this matter. Few minutes later everyone left the room and went to do their job. Robert went to his own office to check the recent activities of Blue Tide. Then Robert called his grandfather. The phone rang for a few more times before grandfather Hill answered the call and started his lecture.
"Hey, brat. Do you still remember us? Looks like you become a robot. Why do you call me?" Robert's grandfather said with anger.
Robert could feel his grandfather's anger and disappointment. However he could not do anything in this matter. Whenever he went to the old mansion to meet his grandparents , they always nagged about his marriage. Sometimes they would suggest few young ladies' information to him. He did not feel any kind of emotion towards them , only felt disgust. Because those noble ladies wanted his family's power and position for themselves and their family. They did not love any person truly. Thus he started to go to the old mansion less. Also his work pressure recently got much heavier.
"Grandpa, I'm sorry. I have been busy lately and work pressure increases get heavier day by day. Also you know the reason why I did go to the old mansion less. How are you and grandma?" Robert said with a calm tone , which never happened in the past.
Thus grandpa Hill became stunned. He never thought that his cold grandson could become mortal. Because he always kept a cold and emotionless face all day. So he became happy and his demeanor changed.
"Okay , okay. I forgive you. I'm fine and healthy, so your grandma. She just misses you. How's your health? Why are you calling me at this time?" Grandpa Hill said with a curious tone.
"I'm good, grandpa. I'm calling you because of recent matters. What should I have to do? I have already sent some people to help Joseph's team. Also someone already started to help him there." Robert replied.
"Do not get involved with this matter directly. We are also being watched by those big fishes. Have more patience in this matter. We cannot do things in the fit of impatience. Whoever went to the City F, has to be made invisible themselves after today. You only use them as a dark soldier. Otherwise those big fishes will get dirt against you. That will not be very good for the Hill Family, specially you. Clean up those traces between you and those subordinates or those big fishes will make the Hill Family a scapegoat. Specially paid attention towards those stupid Hill Family members." Grandpa Hill said seriously.
Hearing grandpa Hill's statement , Robert felt more relaxed. Because he did not have much patience towards his enemies. Also the older generation always had more experience and patience than the younger generation. In the meantime he could gather more information about his future wife.
"Okay grandpa, I understand. Pay my respect to grandma. Also I have good news to share with. I won't tell you through the phone but face to face." Robert said.
"I will. What's good news? Do you start liking any lady? If there is , then you can come few days later. Because your parents will arrive here then. We will celebrate your good news." Grandpa Hill said with an exciting tone.
Robert could feel his grandfather's excitement. Also he was happy too. After being single for 30 years , he would end his loneliness. Thus he replied , "Okay grandpa. I'll do as you say. I will come when mom and dad arrive. Stay safe and healthy. Bye." After that he disconnected the call.
On the other hand grandfather Hill became silly with excitement and went to find his beloved wife to share his assumption. Finally someone could subdue his cold grandson.
After talking to his grandfather, Robert quickly finished his organization's matters and went to Hill Corporation to attend a meeting. Sam also got busy with Hill Corporation matters and also his boss's new girlfriend's investigation matters. Brian and other subordinates of Robert started to dig recent matters and some old matters of City F. So they could understand the whole situation and their boss's girlfriend's personality.

Time passed just like that. One week later the matter of the drug case's influence lessened. Even those big fishes outside of City F sighed in relief. Because Joseph did not investigate further and Maria cleaned many traces of Joseph's team which could bring them troubles. Also Maria created Martin and Grey Family's hot search to reduce drug case's influence. Thus the discussion about this case recently reduced a lot. Even the atmosphere of City F calmed a lot. Citizens of City F returned their normal peaceful life without that hot topic.
