章 189: Back Home

By the time Mason got back home, it was already late into the night.

After he left his father's house he went for a drive to clear his head and when he got to the penthouse instead of coming home he took his workout clothes he always kept in his car trunk and went to the in-house gym.

Mason worked out until he was exhausted, he vented out all his anger on the punching bag imagining it to be Jack.

When he entered the house, Ava was sleeping on the sofa.

She stirred when she heard the door open and the moment she opened her eyes and saw Mason, she immediately flew up from the sofa.

"You are back," she said in a relieved voice as she threw arms around Mason in a hug.

"Why so sweaty?" she asked as she pulled away from the hug now taking note of Mason's dressing.

"You went to the gym?"

"Yeah," Mason nodded. He kissed the tip of her nose. "How are you? I told you not to wait up for me."
