Since the day of the funeral, Alfred has started putting Bruce through some 'light' training.

At least that's what he calls it.

What he's really going through is hell training that is pushing his body to the very limit every day.

Well, maybe it's not that bad, as he's just a 10-year-old child, but it sure felt that way to someone like him who's never done any cardio or weight lifting before.

He basically lived his old life as a shut-in, only making friends from his time spent at school.

Though this is only the beginning of his training and Alfred warned him that the start would be strenuous as his body isn't used to all these new exercises.

There are some parts of his training regiment that Bruce loves immensely though.

The first is his weapons practice.

Alfred wasn't lying when he agreed to teach Bruce everything he knew, and weapons training was something that Bruce thought he may skimp him on.

Thankfully, Alfred doesn't seem to be doing that.

Bruce is currently learning how to handle knives and how to disassemble and reassemble different guns.

As a wealthy member of society, Bruce had Alfred order tons of different weapons and equipment for his training.

Currently, he is learning how to handle a Bowie knife, which has become his favored knife out of all he's practiced with.

It just fits well in his hand and reminds him of the bad*ss, John James Rambo.

Ever since his first day of practice with a Bowie knife, he's kept it on him almost all the time.

Another thing he's found he likes from his training is the martial arts aspect of things.

Right now Bruce is learning Krav Maga.

Krav Maga is originally an Israeli martial art widely accepted in the military, police, and similar branches across the world as a defense against bare-handed and even armed attackers.

It's a practical method of combat that trains how to avoid, prevent, and resolve any kind of violence and attack. Krav Maga trains you to protect yourself and others from situations where defeat would mean death.

It's actually an easy form of combat to learn for a child like himself. This is why Alfred chose it to begin with.

Although, he's not mentally a child so it's been a fairly easy martial art to practice and master.

Bruce hasn't been in a spar or an actual fight yet, but he's starting to understand and master some of the moves.

Though he won't know for sure how good he is until he spars with Alfred or a fight breaks out.

After Bruce has mastered this martial art, Alfred would then move down the list to others that he was taught during his time in the military.

Namely, Line, Boxing, and Karate.

If Bruce wanted to learn different martial arts, he would have to hire someone else to teach him or join a martial arts school.

Though he did have other options, as this is the DC universe, Bruce would wait until he's older before doing anything too drastic.

-3 weeks later-

While Bruce was eating a lavish dinner made by his team of private chefs, Alfred was called out of the room by one of the many maids that take care of the Manor

Shortly after his departure, Alfred returned with a letter and handed it off to Bruce.

Looking at Alfred questioningly, Bruce took the letter and read its contents.

"It's about damn time." Bruce mutters with a sigh of relief.

"Language, Master Bruce." Alfred comments as he takes the letter and burns it to ashes in the nearby fireplace.

"We should go and..." Bruce begins to speak but Alfred motions towards the nearby maids.

"Let's speak about this after dinner." Alfred says and leaves the room for Bruce to finish eating.

Not feeling much hunger after the news he's just gotten, Bruce takes one last fork full of food and downs a glass of water before leaving the room as well.

"Alfred, meet me in the study!" Bruce yells and runs to Thomas Wayne's old study, which he's now made his own.

He uses it for his home school work, as he's currently on a grade 7 curriculum, and plans to move up in grades at a far more rapid pace.

Thomas and Martha Wayne always thought that schools made smart children dumb, as they wouldn't receive one on one classes that move at the student's rate of learning.

Smart children would be forced to learn at the pace of the slowest student in the room, which they didn't want for their son.

This is why the old Bruce made it all the way to grade 7, which is 2 grades higher than his age group would be in.

Shortly after taking a seat on a leather chair behind a big oak desk, Alfred arrives and locks the door behind him.

"We should leave tonight, while everyone is sleeping and take care of him." Bruce says with an eager yet serious face.

"Take care of him?" Alfred raises his eyebrows questioningly. "Have you been watching mafia movies lately, Master Bruce?"

"Yes, and stop changing the subject. We should get this over with before he disappears again. I'd rather not wait another month or more to find this lunatic again." Bruce says with an annoyed pout.

"Fine, but I'm going to say something that you may dislike." Alfred sighs, knowing Bruce is about to argue with him. "First, murders like this are better off scouted out and planned thoroughly. Unless of course, you would like up to go to jail after avenging your parents?"

"Alright, that makes sense. I don't see how that would make me upset?" Bruce agrees wholeheartedly.

"I'm getting there." Alfred says with a small sigh. "Secondly, you will not be within a hundred feet of this man. In fact, it would be best if you stayed safely in the Manor while I dealt with Mr. Chill."

"I see what you meant now..." Bruce says with annoyance clear in his voice.

"I'm sorry, Master Bruce, but you're a child. Killing isn't something you should be a part of. I was willing to agree to help as this man deserves what's coming to him, but that doesn't mean you will be taking part in the actual deed." Alfred puts his foot down, clearly signifying what's going to happen.

This is the worst part about being a child again. Even though Alfred works for him, the power of an adult is still larger than that of money.

It's okay though.

Bruce knows that Alfred is just looking out for him, so he isn't too annoyed by this behavior. Even if he wasn't alright with it, Bruce wouldn't do anything drastic about it.

Alfred is acting as his guardian at the moment and without him, who knows which slime balls would pop up out of the woodworks, ready to take advantage of Bruce for his family fortune.

"Let's not waste our breath just yet. Why don't you go and scout the area tonight, and we can talk about this again tomorrow." Bruce says rather maturely.

"A-Alright..." Alfred stutters, shocked to see Bruce acting so mature about the situation.

(A/N: Ps- Bruce has just received his Hogwarts letter in the newest chapter.)
