章 144: Relationship Status

Alex stood by the window in his office, looking outside with unseeing eyes as he tried to distract himself from thinking about Vanessa and Sophia who were moving out of his place at the moment.

He glanced at his phone when it started ringing, and he sighed when he picked it up saw that it was Kyle who was calling.

"I guess since you've closed from work, you thought it wise to disrupt those of us who just started their day?" Alex asked the moment he received Kyle's call.

"It's the advantage of living in a different time zone, Mr. Moore." Kyle amusedly replied, and Alex didn't miss the amusement in his voice.

"How convenient for you." He irritably hissed, while Kyle chuckled.

"What's up with you? Having a bad day?" Kyle curiously inquired. He could tell Alex was having one of those days when he was in his gruffy mood by the sound of his voice.

Alex lolled back on his chair and sighed. "No. I'm just tired."
