章 596: In Trouble

CHAPTER 596

The afternoon sun threw long shadows across Wan Lu's cluttered desk, turning the papers into a battlefield of light and dark. 

He ran a hand through his damp hair, sweat pricking at his forehead. Renshu Ru's fiery lecture still echoed in his ears and he found it hard to silence those words in his mind. 

Brrrrrh!!

The shrill ring of his phone sent a jolt through him. The caller ID displayed Lee Chong Wei, the old master's PA. on his phone screen. 

Dread pooled in his stomach – this was the first big problem he'd been anticipating. He had just finished a session of scolding with Renshu Ru, and now the first big problem was calling. 

Once Lee Chong Wei got the approval to place a call to Wan Lu, the latter wasted no time and did so. 

"Wan Lu," he croaked into the receiver, his voice tight.

Gulp!

"Hello, Lee Chong Wei."
