Chapter 18

Marissa

In the next couple of weeks I fell into some kind of routine. Every morning I eat breakfast with Antonio, Luca, Stefano, Frederico and Samuel. I learn that Rico, Sam and Stefano are Antonio's closest guards. I also learn that there is always a team of four or five guards that follow along with me and Luca. They tend to keep out of sight mostly from me but I spot them at times when we walk between buildings or when we leave the premises of the campus.

Antonio is often busy but tries to make a statement of my importance by sitting down to dinner with me most evenings. On the weekend, the breakfast is still served at seven and Antonio works even on those days. I usually go down to eat and then I sleep for another hour or two. Then I study or meet Josie or James. The good thing that came with my predicament is that Josie and James seem to have left their fight behind.
