Allen's face exhibited how dejected he felt at the moment. The smile on his face faded. Looking at Violet with confusion, he could not avoid questioning himself if everything he did was not enough to woo her. 

Or if it made her even mad when she was drenched with the water irrigation and felt like she was pushed into a difficult situation. 

He admitted that he planned to create a rumor about him and Violet.

He has forgotten that a conservative family raised Violet. Her upbringing was in traditional ways. If that is her concern, he could apologize to her, but if he reveals the truth that it was intentional, she will get angry at him even more.

"Violet, I'm not in a hurry to get an answer from you. You can think about it first." He forced a smile, not giving up on his proposal.
