"What were you thinking? Are you out of your mind?" Don Apollo shouted angrily at Leona. The old man was very angry, but Leona remained stubborn in front of her father.

"The union was justified in asking the employees who worked over ten years to be given permanent employment. There aren't many, so I determined that the risk wasn't high. The union agreed to wage freezes for the past two years. We should give something back—"

"You agree for one thing, but they won't be grateful for what they get. It's human nature to ask for more and more! That's how unions work!" Her father interrupted what she was going to say, so she cussed repeatedly in her mind. She kept her gaze straight at Don Apollo who seemed to feel fearless.
