章 36: James Hart

*Swish*

Travis suddenly moved. His speed alone left a strong wind behind him as he dashed away. If anyone were to see him right now, they would be shocked within recognition. After all, the speed by which Travis moved was truly frightening.

Travis was able to accomplish this feat due to two main reasons. The first one would be due to the lightning in his body. Most mages were stronger than normal People not because they specifically trained their bodies rather, it was because they had mana in their bodies. The mana tends to make the body stronger, which makes it so that people with superpowers were able to do some things that most people never dreamed of.

Even with that said, the strength of the body is determined by the amount and strength of the mana they have in their body. This meant that even though mages had strong bodies than normal people, it didn't make all mages equally strong.

Some were stronger than others since they had a stronger superpower. Since Travis had a superpower now, it would be natural that he also had a strong body which was stronger than normal people.

As for the second main reason why Travis had this amazing speed and strength, it was because of the training he went through. That training increased his endurance and speed. After all, running around the whole city would be extremely tiresome for even mages.

However, Travis did exactly that. This made his body much stronger than other mages to the extent that his body could be said to be stronger than any mage in his class.

The truth was that most mages didn't bother to increase the toughness of their bodies. What mattered to them was their cultivation. Therefore mages who trained their bodies too could be considered very rare.

As for Travis, he was such an individual. This naturally meant that Travis' body was stronger than most mages. Not to mention the strength of his lightning power, Travis' training alone was enough to provide him with a very strong body.

Travis was currently moving at a very fast speed towards the city's centre. Travis decided to travel on the roofs of the buildings. As for the reason why he did that, it was simple. Travis decided to travel using that method so that he could avoid confrontation with other people. After all, the menu specifically pointed out that they were to eliminate people who would become a burden later. At least Travis didn't want to be eliminated right after they started the last trail.

Travis suddenly heard an ear-splitting sound coming from the alley in front of him. Huge ripples began to spread which would let one's hair stand on the end. However, even though the ripples were powerful, they couldn't harm the building's the slightest.

In fact, the ripples only made Travis feel life-threatening danger however, he knew it wouldn't harm him. However, even with all that in mind, Travis couldn't help but frown. This meant that the two people who were fighting were extremely strong. Else Travis wouldn't feel such life-threatening danger from their fight alone.

However, in the end, Travis was nothing more than a human being. Curiosity took over and he began to walk towards the area from which the huge ripples appeared earlier.

As Travis got nearer he finally heard shouts of anger.

"Shut up! Take this! This attack will definitely destroy you!"

"Hehe, you are funny, but the one who is going to die is none other than you!"

"This voice..." the moment Travis heard the second voice, he immediately frowned. That was because the voice was extremely familiar to Travis. Also, it gave him a strange feeling; the feeling of danger. Even though he couldn't explain the reason why he felt that he definitely felt it.

Unable to hold back his curiosity, Travis proceeded towards the area of the fight with light steps, afraid of attracting any unnecessary attention. After getting to the edge of the building, Travis looked down. However, the moment Travis looked down, he began to frown as unease appeared in his eyes.

That was basically because, at the moment, Travis could see two people fighting. The first person had ginger, straight hair neatly coiffured to reveal a fresh, normal face. He had bright blue eyes that gave out the sensation of an honest person, which made Travis greatly surprised. He had a very serious expression on his face and blood could be seen flowing from the corner of his lips. It could be seen that he was seriously hurt.

However, he held in his hand a two-metre sword which gave out the feeling of being a king. At this moment, his glittering brown eyes, which were fused with deep killing intent were rooted on a single person. Travis immediately recognised who the person was.

He was called James Hart. He was the last among the ten strongest students in the class. He came from the Hart family, which had the ability to manipulate water. He was from the same family as Lance.

As for the person he was looking at, he had red, oily hair which awkwardly hangs over a furrowed, radiant face. However, his sparkling amber eyes, which set dreadfully within their sockets were currently looking at James disdainfully. Moreover, he had a mocking expression on his face. The moment Travis saw him, unease appeared in his eyes. He was none other than Travis' greatest enemy, Lance Hart!!

"Is this how you treat your family member?" James asked as he painted heavily. His voice was extremely weak, which indicated that he must have suffered a great injury.

"Hahaha..." hearing what James said, Lance let out a complacent laugh. His face then turned cold as he said, "A family member? You are nothing more than a shame to our family! You are the weakest person in our family. You were only able to enter the strongest list because of your heavens splitting sword and you still dare call yourself a member of the Hart family?"

" You even dare tell me that I am treating you injustly? You intentionally launched a sneak attack on me. If it wasn't for the fact that I was stronger than you, I would have been eliminated! And you dare tell me that I am treating you badly? Okay, let's say that didn't happen. If you were sucessful, would you have spared me?" Lance asked as his voice responded through the entire street. He was truly angry. Even Travis had never seen him angry.

"This... I... " hearing what Lance said, James became speechless and nervous. He was sure he wouldn't have spared Lance if his attack succeeded.

Hearing what Lance said, Travis also came to a realisation. It seemed that James planned to launch a sneak attack on Lance but he was caught and beaten badly. From his actions alone, Travis could tell that James was very cunning and wicked.

'Even though Lance acts like he doesn't care about anything, he actually cares a lot about his family.' Travis analyzed as he stared from above. He realized that even though Lance acted arrogant and conceited, he was still pained by what James did. That was why he didn't eliminate James even after what he did.
