章 7: Spiritual Space

"Ah yes! How can I forget this!", Drey said as he stood up.

"Huh?! What did you forget?", Travis asked curiously as he also stood up.

"You will know the reason soon!", Drey said with a mysterious smile.

"Okay, now what is with the creepy smile?", Travis asked.

A golden cube escaped from Drey's hands and began to enlarge till it filled the entire room.

"What is that?", Travis asked curiously when he saw the cube which trapped them in the room.

"It's a golden camouflage cube. It will prevent any sounds from escaping the room. It will also hide from the rest of the world. If anyone was to open this room's door, the only thing he or she would see is an empty room."

"It works like a camouflage that also traps sound. It's so cool! Will you teach me how to do that after I get your superpower?", Travis asked excitedly.

"Of course! I will teach you anything I know! Now sit down and let's start.", Drey said with a smile as he sat down and entered a meditative state.

"Okay. Travis said as he also entered a meditative state.

A beam of light which looked like a bolt of electricity shot out from Drey's head and entered Travis' head.

*Ahh!*

A loud shout echoed in the room as Travis shouted in a very anguish manner and then entered a sleeping state.

"Huh?! Where am I?", Travis said as he looked around him.

"Am I dead?! I knew it! I shouldn't have trusted that guy!", Travis said as he began to panic.

The main reason why Travis was panicking was that he only woke up to find himself in a dark space. It was very dark.

And he also heard that people who die always entered a dark space before they were sent to either hell or heaven.

"What's wrong with you? How can you not trust me? Do you think I am a liar?", Travis heard a voice from behind him.

"Huh?", Travis turned to where the voice came from only to see Drey who was standing behind him with an unpleasant face.

"Of course it's me.", Drey said.

"Wait, so you died too? Hahahaha! Serves you right!", Travis said excitedly.

"Huh? I am already dead. How can I die again?", Drey said confusedly.

"Wait! I almost forgot! You are already dead. So you are that kind of ghost who kills other people and send them to hell. Well, luckily I had a backup plan."

"I wrote a letter about you and placed it on my table so that my parents can know who killed me!", Travis said with a mischievous smile on his face.

"Huh?! What nonsense are you sprouting? I see, so you are really stupid! What is with that childish backup plan? I destroyed it. Also, I am not here to kill you and you are not DEAD!", Drey said nonchalantly.

"Huh?! What do you mean I am not dead? I thought...", Travis asked.

"YOU ARE NOT DEAD! I am also not a ghost! We are in your spirit space not in the space that sends you to either heaven or hell!", Drey said angrily.

"Huh? Spiritual space? Isn't it the place you talked about when I first saw you?", Travis asked in confusion.

"Yes! This is the place I was talking about. The reason why you can come here is that you have my power now!", Drey let out a sigh and said to Travis.

"Oh, I see. But why is it so dark?", Travis asked as he looked around him.

"You can change it if you like. Just imagine the scenery. This space will change to that scenery", Drey said.

"Huh? Just like that?", Travis asked.

"Yes just like that.", Drey said.

"Okay. I am trying now!", Travis said as he closed his eyes and began to imagine the scenery.

The space around them then began to twist and turn until they finally broke into pieces. They then began to rearrange themselves. However, It was no longer dark. The spiritual space scenery began to change to a very nice one.

After all the broken spaces were mended, a new scenery could be seen in the once dark space.

"Wow? So it really happened! I can't believe it!", Travis said in surprise as he looked around him.

The previously dark space was now a huge valley surrounded by huge and tall mountains.

"The main reason why it worked is that this is a spiritual space I created for you. I also permitted you to change the scenery.", Drey explained.

"Oh, I see. So what would I do here?", Travis said as he sat down.

"We are going to have our training sections here. The spiritual space is private so whatever you do here won't affect the real world", Drey explained.

"Oh, okay. Then let's train!", Travis said to Drey.

"Okay. As for our first training, I am going to teach you how to activate your power. As it stands, you can only use my yellow lightning. So that is what I going to teach you.", Drey said.

"Why can't I use your blue and black lightning?", Travis asked.

"That's because you are too weak to wield that amount of power. You will be able to use it when you rank up really fast.", Drey said.

"Okay. Then continue with what you were talking about earlier.", Travis said to Drey.

"Now listen. The lighting element is found inside you. You will have to draw them out to use them. To be able to draw them, you will have to absorb enough lightning elemental mana from the world."

"What is elemental mana? I don't know what that is?!", Travis asked curiously.

" Elemental mana is a kind of energy that contains various elements.", Drey continued.

"Oh, I see. It's what gives superpowers. The scientist call it prana!", Travis said.

"Prana? It kind of sounds like the name of the fish piranha" Drey said jokingly. But when he looked at Travis, he could tell that Travis wasn't amused with his joke so he cleared his throat embarrassingly and continued.

"You will have to absorb this kind of mana into you using a technique. After you can absorb them, I will teach you how to draw them out to create magic circles and use them.", Drey explained.

"Oh, I see. Then there is the technique that would help me?!", Travis asked.

"Take this technique and study it. After that try to absorb the mana using the technique. I will teach you how to use the superpower later.", Drey said as a beam of light shot out from his head and entered Travis' head.

Information about the technique began to enter Travis' head.
