The drive back to the house was done in silence.
"I'm sorry, Lee. I shouldn't—"
"It's okay. You don't have to say anything more. He's your brother. I understand your need to protect him."
"That's not true!"
"It's okay. I understand," I open the door of the car, and stepped out of the car.
"Wait, Lee." She came out of the car and ran to me.
"I need to rest."
"Listen—"
"You do not need to explain anything to me. I understand what you are trying to say. Don't worry, I bear no grudge against you. I understand perfectly."
"Lee—"
"I will be in my room if you have to see me for something urgent," I said before I sauntered into the house, without looking back at her.
Wouldn't want to stand out here to talk of something that doesn't matter.
"You are back already? I can't believe Pop talked you into going to the mall with her. I will have to hug that girl."
