I woke up to kisses on my face.

"Sleepyhead," Sly kissed my hair. "Don't you think it's time to wake up from your beauty sleep? It's almost eight o'clock."

I frown at him, "aren't you going to work, today?"

"Nah, I took the day off, today. I want to spend time with my darling," he kissed my forehead.

"Can you stop that, already?" I yawn, "your cute husband is famished." 

"That's why I asked Marli to bring the food up to your room when she's through." 

"Thank you," I smile at him, "you are the best."

"You don't need to say more. I know I'm the best husband in the entire world."

And I didn't counter his words. In truth, Sly is the best husband in the entire world. 

He was the one who released me from the clutches of my stepmother. And for that, I will be forever indebted to my husband.
