Xian Mei didn't need encouragement. With how easily the new creature defeated the Jue Ape, she knew this spirit beast was not something they could go up against. She turned and ran to where she entered from.

Liang Tao was faster. He rushed past Xian Mei, heading to the same exit.

"Don't leave me!" Xian Mei called in a panic.

Liang Tao didn't respond, nor did he slow down. In an emergency, it was every man for himself. Xian Mei might be his superior in the academy's faction, but that meant nothing now when his life was on the line. Their relationship was based on benefits. Their bond was not deep enough for him to risk his life for her.

When he was about to reach the exit, something flew past him. This something was a large boulder that crashed into the ceiling above the exit. The impact caused the ceiling to collapse. The fallen debris blocked the exit.
