A pair of flashing red eyes stalked the conversation between Ange and William, which ended with Ange's departure. The distance between the woman's residence and William wasn't that far, but sometimes Ange preferred to turn around to enjoy the smell of the pine forest and the fresh breeze around her.
Like now, Ange was walking without changing her form until something dared to confront her in the middle of the thick forest trees.
"Come out of your hiding; I've noticed your existence!" She said, then the creature slowly emerged from the bushes and walked closer to the woman.
"You're not afraid of me?" asked the creature. Ange snorted.
"Me? Afraid of you? I know you; why should I be afraid of you?"
The creature then transformed into a figure that Ange recognized. The two of them knew each other well; one might even say that they were friends with William's father, Jason Reynz.
